Lived up to the hype and then some!
My wife has been to Amara several times and it’s hands-down her favorite place for Mediterranean food in Delray Beach, so I finally joined her. Safe to say, it completely lived up to the hype! Every dish was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
A big shoutout to our server, Sara, she made the experience even better with her warm hospitality, great pacing, and spot-on recommendations. Amara is a total gem, and now I see why my wife loves it so much. We’ll definitely be back together soon!
Last night was our first dining experience at Amar. I must say, the hostess was gracious, friendly and offered us a choice of 2 tables in the restaurant. Our reservation was for outdoors which we most always do. It was way too hot & so thank you for that. accommodation. I’m sorry I forgot her name.
Our server Haley was polite & professional.
That being said, we are NYC food savvy & appreciate a bit more insight of how to order especially for our first visit. It would be our suggestion to enhance the dining experience if your servers let you know that your portions are “VERY” generous and more than enough for 2 people to share.
Hence, we over ordered.
The cuisine as well as the presentation were spot on DELICIOUS!
Looking forward to our next visit.
Glad it’s closed. Management permitted advertisers to interrupt dining guests by filming during the evening rush. They sat right next to all of us with their camera’s bright lights ruining our dining experience. What’s more, they refused to move and instructed nearby dining guests that they should move! At first management told the many unhappy tables that they should move. Thankfully, no one let up and teeny minutes later, they had no choice but to make the film crew relocate. Horrors and good riddance.
Flawless evening. We shared a variety of items and each was amazing…in fact we started with the lentil salad which was so gorgeous I took a photo. I had planned to capture the rest of the meal but when it arrived I was so excited that I forgot to photograph it for memory. That’s the highest compliment you can receive.
The branzino was the star of the show, and my husband would have agreed with me, until the 8:00 arrival of the belly dancer who stole took first place from the branzino in his mind.
Heads up to those looking at reviews before you “try” a new spot…if you think Applebee’s and Olive Garden are a great date night- this is not your restaurant.

Wow wow wow what a wonderful experience from start to finish. Such a beautiful ambiance with authentic feel and music. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a perfect seat romantically nestled in the back of dining room. The menu opened our appetites to all new and yet very familiar dishes. 2 entire pages of Mezze / Appetizers. We wanted to order everything! We narrowed it down to Hummus w/ Lamb, Classic Taboule, Wanak Enab aka Diwali and Kibbe Naye
The bread was so hot and fluffy and fresh. Besides the food being incredibly delicious and full of flavor, our waitress Sara made our entire experience there elevated with her charm and perfect service! This is a must find and go and go again and again spot! Let’s not forget Habibi wine 🍷 wow
