  Larry was an outstanding waiter! He was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our entire meal. He made sure we had everything we needed, checked in at just the right times, and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. His great attitude and excellent service really stood out. Thank you, Larry, for making our visit so wonderful!

  Cool restaurant on the boardwalk. The food is a bit overpriced for what it is, but to be expected at a tourist destination. My meal was prepared correctly and tasted good. Service was a tad slow to start (we sat at the table about 10 mins before someone asked if anyone had waited on us, and it was not busy), but once we got a waitress she stayed on top of it.

  Long wait, which was fine very busy restaurant. Atmosphere was good aswell? However.. our server in the start was fine. No refills with apps, or for 25 mins till a manager got it. No 2 minute check back. You charge 10 extra dollars for tomatoes and cilantro to your app on the crab cakes, which is actually laughable. You can order the side crab cakes for half the price. After letting a manager know how bad the service was, and how long the food was taking. He never once offered anything other than an “im sorry”. Extremely unpleasant event, either retrain your servers to handle the business you have, or cut their sections. Extremely expensive meal, and it’s an hour later and I STILL HAVENT EVEN ATE.

  Toni was great tonight. She was very friendly, helpful, and polite. She was very helpful with everything for our big dinner party and handled us all very well. She was very friendly when interacting with us and so polite while serving us. Thank you very much Toni keep up the good work. The world is a better place with people like you in it.   Very Disappointing Experience at Joe’s Crab Shack – Daytona Beach, FL I visited Joe’s Crab Shack in Daytona Beach about 10 years ago and had an excellent experience. Unfortunately, my visit today was completely different and very disappointing. I sat at the bar, and the bartender ignored me for at least 10 minutes before finally approaching me. The restaurant was not busy, yet he appeared to be acting as though he had far more to handle. When he finally came over, his attitude was not friendly—he simply asked what I wanted to drink and walked away. While I was waiting, a couple sat next to me at the bar. They waited approximately 20 minutes just to be acknowledged, and eventually they simply left. What was even more surprising was that no host or other employee appeared to ask them why they were leaving or offer any assistance. I ordered a beer, and the bartender handed me a menu. He then disappeared for another 15 minutes or so. When he finally returned, his attitude and facial expression suggested that serving customers was an inconvenience. He eventually took my food order. I honestly don't understand who is managing this location. It felt as though the restaurant was managing itself with very little attention to customer service. I have spent decades managing high-profile food and beverage properties, and I have never experienced service this poor. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but this was not one isolated moment—it was a pattern of neglect and poor attitude throughout my visit. It is especially disappointing because I remembered my visit here 10 years ago as an excellent experience. Sadly, based on what I experienced today, the level of service has declined dramatically. I hope management takes this review seriously and addresses the service standards at this location. Customers deserve to feel welcomed and valued, not ignored.
