I visited this McDonald’s today at approximately 8:59 p.m., and by 9:05 p.m. I had received a refund over an issue that could have been resolved very simply. I ordered a large fry, requested it fresh, and paid $4.48 by card. At the second window, I asked for one Buffalo and one Honey Mustard sauce. The manager told me I could only receive one. I explained that I had no problem paying the additional 25 cents and reached to provide my phone for payment. She responded, “Only cash. There’s no register at this window.” That immediately raised a question: if there is no register at that window, where would the cash payment for the additional sauce be processed? Since I could not purchase the second sauce with my card, I requested a refund. The manager went back to a register and handed me $4.50 in cash, even though I had paid $4.48 by card. I was not asked for my card to process the refund back to my original payment method. The inconsistency is also concerning. I visited this same location yesterday and received both sauces without an issue. I also visited earlier today—order #1371—and requested the same two sauces with my medium fry, again without a problem. I visit this location almost every other day and am a familiar face to many of the employees. From a business perspective, this is where the decision makes very little sense. Instead of finding a way to complete a 25-cent transaction, the decision resulted in: • Refunding the entire $4.48 sale • Returning $4.50, two cents more than I originally paid • Taking back and wasting a freshly prepared large fry • Taking the food from a customer who had already waited beyond the standard service time for it to be prepared fresh • Potentially losing a customer who visits almost every other day • Creating an unnecessary customer-service complaint • Generating a negative review over a sauce I was willing to pay for After returning two cents more than I originally paid, the financial difference essentially became 23 cents. That is a significant amount of unnecessary loss and frustration over a 23–25 cent item. I also want to be clear that this review is not a reflection of the entire staff. The regular employees at this location do a phenomenal job. There is another Black female manager I frequently encounter at night, and I have never experienced this type of issue with her. There is also a white gentleman, whom I believe is a manager and typically see wearing a red shirt, who consistently goes the extra mile for customers. They deserve recognition for representing this location well. Unfortunately, this particular manager is the only manager I have personally encountered at this location who has represented the company this poorly. Being a manager requires more than knowing how to operate a register, complete transactions, or supervise employees. Management requires understanding how to run a business: making sound decisions, solving simple problems, protecting revenue, minimizing waste, providing quality customer service, and understanding the value of retaining repeat customers. I was not rude, obnoxious, or asking for anything free. I was willing to pay for exactly what I requested. A situation involving a 25-cent sauce should never have resulted in losing an entire sale, wasting freshly prepared food, and potentially losing a frequent customer. This was an unnecessary situation created by poor managerial judgment—not by a customer refusing to pay.

Illegally booted my car in a spot that had no McDonald's customer parking only. You have been reported to the township!

If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. On Thursday, July 30, after 10:00 PM, I came to this McDonald’s to spend some time with my children and friends. Instead of enjoying our evening, we walked outside to find that not only was my vehicle booted and given a parking ticket, but the vehicles of two of my friends were as well. We were told it was because we were supposedly not customers of the restaurant. The most disappointing part wasn’t even the parking issue—it was the way we were treated by the staff, especially the management. Even though they knew we had been inside the restaurant the entire time, they showed absolutely no concern, spoke to us disrespectfully, raised their voices, and repeatedly told us, “Call the police. We’re not going to do anything.” I have never experienced such poor customer service at a McDonald’s. It’s incredibly disappointing to see employees and management damage the reputation of such a well-known global brand through their complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and respect for their customers. This review has nothing to do with the food. It’s about how customers are treated. No family should have to go through an experience like this just for visiting a McDonald’s. We went there to enjoy a meal with our children and friends, and instead we left feeling disrespected, humiliated, and frustrated. I sincerely hope McDonald’s corporate investigates what happened and takes appropriate action so no other family has to experience this kind of treatment.

I ordered the honey brown butter biscuit chicken sandwich in the drive through this morning and the workers had me pull up to the front to wait extra time for my food. I drove all the way to work before realizing they gave me the wrong order. When I came back a Caucasian lady wouldn’t assist me until i retrieved the receipt from the car. Which I understand is protocol but I had the bag with me with the untouched food for her to see. Then she proceeds to tell me that the sandwich they gave is the honey brown butter biscuit even though there was no chicken but instead egg, and bacon. She had to ask another Caucasian lady to confirm that’s not a chicken sandwich even though again, there was no chicken! She came back and gave me my correct order and apologized but that was so rude. Why must you doubt me when I say that’s the wrong sandwhich when there is quite literally no chicken on there? You had to ask another of your own race to confirm even though your eyes can clearly see the error. I don’t know her name but she was on the heavier side and dirty blonde. I’m not saying it was racially motivated but it’s just weird and disappointing that a Black woman telling you something that’s right in front of us both can only be reassured by your own people. You see a sandwich with egg and bacon and think “oh that’s a honey brown butter chicken sandwich.” Isn’t this supposed to be your expertise ?
