This rating is low because we came in with such high expectations. 4.7 stars! 11xx reviews! We (3 gents) were seated right away with the restaurant at maybe 50% capacity. And there we sat for maybe 5-8 minutes without service. Then a drink order was taken ( a water, and 2 Tuesday Rita’s). No chips/salsa was offered. More waiting 2 Rita’s arrive. No water arrives No chips. No salsa offered. Water arrives, One gent can’t stand the Tuesday malted Margarita. Orders a menu Rita for $14. Meal order taken….Upon prompting by a Gent, chips and salsa are finally offered $17 order of nachos, with chorizo. Shrimp quesadilla After 5 minutes +/- expire, Menu Rita gent inquires as to status of his drink…no response from server in timely manner…Gent goes to the bar himself to inquire…”it’s being made now”… ”A few minutes later..,” Rita delivered…quite tasty. Food arrives. A mountain of chips makes up the nachos…too bad it seems like there was maybe 2 tablespoons of chorizo on the mountain. There was ample shrimp in the quesadillas. After the first 15 minutes of the dining experience we were asking ourselves…4.7 stars?! How? The food made a decent comeback, and if there was a better representation of meat on the nachos we might have raised food to 4 stars, but not this time. Sorry.

We had an absolutely great time! It was a group of 4, all adults and we all got something a little different and all was great. We got a drink from the bar and tasted amazing; our server was funny and so down to earth, she’s a doll. Our food came out fast, the chips and salsa were delicious as well and the guac…wow, obsessed. Serving size was more than I expected which is always a plus. The Spanish rice and pinto beans with each dish was also very yummy. Will be going back again, soon! Special thank you for all the love and service, thank you Carina our server, bartenders Karol and Lesly, chef Flor, and the manager Joey. You guys are on to something here, keep it up!

I would like to say for a newish restaurant in town I had high hopes. But the the prices made it hard and the food was just not good. Everything seemed like it was An added price. Chips were stale and for a Mexican restaurant that is diabolical. Order corn dip for $13 seems a bit pricey for the amount. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and added mole sauce for and additional $2 . The tortilla was a weird flavor and the chicken was bland. The rice tasted like it came out of a bag and had hard pieces. My husband got the chimichanga and had a $4 add of queso sauce. It was OK same issue with the rice. The over all service was very poor. We waited and waited and waited for 1 water refill while the table seated after us had already recieved their meal. We were still waiting on meals. Barely any checking in on us. It think you can find better mexican food and quality of service in the area .

Went to Margarita’s Cocina Mexicana. It was authentic Mexican food not Caribbean cuisine masquerading as Mexican food. That’s usually the case around here. It’s at the intersection of Ronald Reagan and 27. It’s owned by the same guys that own Ovation Bistro. So, if you are signed up as a frequent diner, it works for both. I ordered chilli relleno with chorizo and my wife ordered chicken chimichanga. I liked my relleno and wife thought her chimichanga was adequate. The chimichanga was huge and half of it went home with us. The music was Mexican and not too loud. If you are looking for Mexican place, you should try this place too. Their salsa was rather simple. Could have used some onions, cilantro etc.

Sorry, but this was a one and done for us. Chips and salsa were good, but that's where it ended. The guacamole was just avacado puree with a few diced tomatoes thrown on top. My husband and I both ordered the enchiladas. He got the ground beef, which was dripping in grease. My chicken enchiladas were very dry and bland. The only hot things one either plate was the rice and refried beans. The rice must have been served from the bottom of the pot as it was hard and crunchy. Our server never came back to check on us until it was time for the check. We do not like to waste food, but neither of us could stomach these plates (and we LOVE Mexican cuisine). Margaritas were glorified limeade with no hint of alcohol, regardless if you choose the house or the specialty Cocina Margarita. I've never seen a margarita with carbonation before. My low rating for atmosphere is because none of the servers seem to pre-bus their tables. Dirty plates remain on the tables even after guests leave. There are too many great Mexican restaurants in Orlando to operate at these low standards. Please do better or bring back Beef O'Brady's. To the snarky restaurant respondant to my review: Just like you, I am allowed to have an opinion. Clearly your response screams that you are not interested in addressing issues but rather berating guests that did not have the opportunity to address their concerns when the server never returned to the table to check on how the meal was received. I also didn't see any managers walking around interacting with their guests to measure guest satisfaction. Pictures don't lie. There are bubbles in the margarita and a grease pool on the plate. Wow! Just...wow!
