  I will use the language of my sons. It was mid. Blackened Mahi and Grouper. The grouper was decent but why would you dump a thick layer of jarlic on top and pour whatever was left on the pan on top. The blackened seasoning was good but had to scrape the jarlic off to get at it. Coleslaw is out of bag, all sauces are from a jar. The fries were decent the onion rings were the best thing there. Now for my wife's Mahi. Way over cooked, like after it was grilled it was tanned and then reheated. There were some better parts in the thicker areas. Not returning. It appears to be a local only joint which is ok.

  We were looking for an affordable seafood restaurant that served fried oysters, and this place far surpassed our expectations. If you’re looking for an excellent seafood meal and can overlook the ambiance, this is the place for you. She had the fried oysters, and I had the grilled mahi-mahi. We both ordered onion rings, and I also added the char-grilled oysters. Everything is cooked right in front of you, which made the experience even better. I’m already making plans to come back after our cruise.

  I had a great experience at Tarks of Dania Beach. The food was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you go out to eat but rarely get. Everything came out hot and well-prepared, and you can tell they actually care about what they’re serving. The service was just as good. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Overall, Tarks is one of those places you end up recommending to people because it actually delivers. Definitely coming back.

  Ordered several items and overall it was disappointing. The oysters were completely covered in garlic to the point you couldn’t even taste them. The fries were dripping in oil and not enjoyable at all. The clam chowder was extremely salty, almost inedible. The alligator tail was nothing like expected, more like fried gizzards with a heavy crust. On top of that, the order didn’t include any silverware or napkins, which made the experience even more frustrating. For the price, this just didn’t deliver. Would not order again.

  We walked in and were greeted like we were long-lost friends—big smiles, great energy, and already off to a good start. We ordered takeout and clearly came hungry because we went IN: two fried fish meals (one curly fries, one straight fries—because balance 😄), both with coleslaw, a blackened mahi plate with fries and slaw, plus wings and alligator bites on the side. Let me tell you… most of this spread did not disappoint. The fish was on point, the fries hit the spot, and the wings held their own. That blackened mahi? Solid choice. Now… let’s talk about the alligator bites. Baby, those gators fought back. 😅 They were so overcooked and rubbery, we had to tap out and toss them. Definitely not the vibe. But aside from that one wild encounter, everything else was really good. We’d absolutely come back… just gonna leave the gator off the guest list next time. Lol.
