  The best desserts and sweet treats in Crystal River... maybe even all of Citrus County! I honestly can't pick a favorite because everything I've tried at Mimi's Bakehouse has been phenomenal. Even the gluten-free options are absolutely amazing, which can be hard to find done this well. Makayla and Mindy do a fantastic job running the shop, and you can tell how much passion they put into everything they create. We follow Mimi's on Facebook, and while they post some great content, it's the photos of the desserts that always stop me in my tracks. I've actually saved pictures of treats on my phone so I can show them what I want to try on my next visit! The only problem is that once I get there and start looking through the display case, I always find several other things I want to try. What starts as a quick stop for one dessert usually turns into leaving with three or four "late-night snacks" to take home. If you have a sweet tooth, do yourself a favor and visit Mimi's Bakehouse. The desserts are incredible, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is always friendly. This place is truly a local gem and well worth every visit.

  Visited Mimi's bakehouse to get a cake for my daughter. Needless to say I was absolutely blown away with the service, quality, and receiving exactly what I asked for! The owner Mindy was fantastic about breaking down how the cake was made, and the ingredients used! Will never use another bakery, she's got my service for life!

  I cannot stress enough how fantastic Mindy's baked goods are. She made a birthday cake for me with her buttercream frosting and homemade raspberry filling that was absolutely to die for! Sadly, I now have to wait until the next time I get something from Mindy for dessert. It will be a tough time but her desserts are worth that wait!

  I absolutely love buying from this business. I love that owner and listened because she mastered the craft of making gluten free treats to the T. Mimi, she is a creative genius and I am so thankful she makes the food I remember but for someone who is gluten free. Absolutely wonderful atmosphere of everyone who works there. If they don’t have it… check back in a week… they will always figure out and bake it with love behind it. I couldn’t recommend them more

Finding a bakery that specializes in authentic keto and diabetic-friendly options is rare, but they nailed it. The cake was completely guilt-free, beautifully decorated, and tasted absolutely delicious.
