- ADashley diazSep 18, 20261.0I walked into this Dunkin and had a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience. The employee at the front, Karishma, began speaking gibberish to me as if she was trying to be funny. What made the situation even more concerning was that the woman standing with her and laughing appeared to be management herself, as she was wearing a blue collared shirt. At first, I did not understand what Karishma was doing. After taking my order, she then asked me if I spoke Chinese and proceeded to imitate and make fun of a Chinese accent. I found this behavior extremely disrespectful, inappropriate, and offensive. Regardless of someone’s culture, ethnicity, or background, everyone deserves to be treated with respect. I am sure she would not appreciate someone mocking her own culture or the way people from her background speak. The fact that someone in a management position was standing there laughing instead of correcting the behavior made the entire situation even more unacceptable. Management should be setting an example for employees and making sure customers are treated professionally and respectfully. I sincerely hope this complaint is taken seriously and that the appropriate steps are taken to address how this situation will be handled. Since management appeared to be involved in the incident, I believe this needs to be escalated directly to corporate for further review and appropriate action. Customers should be able to walk into an establishment and feel respected and welcomed. Behavior like this is extremely unprofessional and should not be tolerated, especially from employees representing the company and from someone in a management position.
