  Will miss you guys many memories from living next door at the condos when I was a kid. Used to go visit my grandmas old house just to reminisce and then go next door to Taco City. End of an era on Cocoa Beach. Good luck with the new restaurant. You guys will be missed on our quiet little piece of the beach.

  Little History about the Restraunt. It wasn't always called Taco City ,it became Taco City in 1980 when my parents sold the restraunt after owning it in the 1970's where it was called Taco House and before that it was called Tippys Taco House. The website says southwestern fare but it's more Tex-Mex style. Many memories there as a kid grew up with Kelly Slater ,Mark Bianchi,Scooter Newell, and others from the area in 70's and 80's from Freedom 7 elementary to Our Saviours Catholic school while others went to Roosevelt Jr high and CB high school. I ended up moving to Houston experiencing Tex-Mex and then to San Diego Southwest and Baja style Mexican food. FYI San Diego has best Mexican food in the country Home if where Fish Taco was born with the Rubio bros (Rubios) from San Diego state Univ. Taco City carried on the tradition after my parents sold The Taco House with many of recipes from my Mom and Dad. There are Alot of new dishes on menu now which are great .Changing locations sometimes is not good wishing you best of luck
