We had a really disappointing experience here, specifically regarding how unfriendly the service was for families. My son was being incredibly well-behaved during our visit—not crying or yelling at all, just simply sitting quietly and playing with a small plastic toy. Despite this, our server completely ignored him from the moment we sat down. He didn't acknowledge him at all, let alone ask if he wanted anything to order—even though he’s almost two and clearly old enough to eat. Wouldn't you want to make more sales and offer food to everyone even if you didn't think they were old enough?
When we ordered, we got an appetizer, two adult entrées, and a kids' meal. The kitchen timing was completely backwards. The kids' meal came out first, well before our appetizer even arrived. To make matters worse, the toddler’s smash burger wasn't even cooked well-done (aren't smash burgers supposed to be inherently well-done due to how they are cooked?). By the time the adult entrées finally arrived—nearly 40 minutes later—my meal wasn't even hot. The fried green tomatoes that we got were disappointing, nothing special, especially for how pricy they were.
When I brought up that my meal was cold and that my son's burger wasn't cooked through, the response was incredibly dismissive. The server simply didn't apologize at all. No one from management and no chef ever came over to apologize or try to make things right. To top it off, our waiter completely refused to look at or acknowledge me for the rest of the meal after I brought up my concerns about the food. Toddlers don't have the patience to sit through a staggered 40-minute gap between their food and their parents' food, and eating cold meals combined with terrible customer service is unacceptable. We won't be returning.

Reservations were made for a part of 7 for a working dinner. Arrived on time, seated on time and George ensured we had full drinks and a clear table. The menu had something for everyone in our party. Only one plate went back with food still on it and that was because the portion was more than they could eat! If you are looking for a great non-chain restaurant in the Clermont area, this is worthy of your time and money.

We had an outstanding dining experience at Root and Branch! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients in every dish.
The cocktails were another highlight. They were creative, innovative, and expertly crafted—something different from the usual offerings, and every one we tried was fantastic.
A special thank you to our waiter, Antonio, who was exceptional. He was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. His recommendations were spot-on, and his outstanding service made an already wonderful meal even more memorable.
It's rare to find a restaurant that excels in every aspect—fresh, delicious food, innovative drinks, and exceptional service. We can't wait to come back and will definitely be asking for Antonio again. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It would be hard to overstate my satisfaction here.
Simple food done exceptionally well.
The presiding theme here is BALANCE. Didn’t expect to order two cocktails, but the subtle crafting of the boulevardier cocktail was irresistible for round 2. Bitter, sweet, smooth, so much going on here.
Food wise, everything is exceptionally well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The pork cracklings app was so thoughtfully built. Pork perfectly cooked. Would’ve been good without them, but the lightly pickled Fresno chiles just take the dish to another level. Excellent cooking.
Same for the steak frites. Perfectly cooked, genuinely. No notes. Initially thought the chimi was a bit underwhelming on the herbs but came around to love it. Good oil. Aggressively gut properly seasoned steak. The fries are next level.
The bread pudding is a dream. The touch of salt to balance the sweetness is nuts. This is a restaurant that knows how to season its food. I could eat this bread pudding every day.
Really didn’t expect to love this place this much.
Great service from Denisa. Helped out where needed with detailed menu knowledge. No complaints.

We had a wonderful experience overall. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were perfectly balanced with just the right amount of alcohol and great flavor. The appetizers were incredible, especially paired with their amazing sauces.
The location is excellent, with plenty of parking available and very accessible handicap ramps. The interior layout is also well designed, and I especially loved the bar area.
Our waiter, Mark, was outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and his recommendations were excellent. He truly made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
The only issue we encountered was the temperature inside the restaurant. It was extremely hot, and all four of us at the table were sweating throughout our meal. We informed our waiter, and although we managed to enjoy our meeting, we found ourselves drinking a lot of water because of the heat. The prices were very reasonable and well worth the experience, but I would highly recommend turning the air conditioning up a bit to make guests more comfortable.
Despite that, we truly enjoyed our visit and would definitely return.
