- BFBoyle FamilyMay 3, 20261.0POOR SERVICE AT BEST We had a very disappointing experience at Five Guys. Our group came in with 20+ people and spent a significant amount of money, expecting a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere. Instead, halfway through our meal, the assistant general manager came out and scolded our entire party because some of the younger kids had made a mess with peanut shells. To make matters worse, staff then handed several of us brooms and expected us to help clean the restaurant ourselves. That crossed the line from poor customer service into something that felt completely inappropriate. We came to enjoy a meal together—not to be publicly corrected and then put to work. On top of that, it was very noticeable that staff behind the counter were talking about our group, with looks of disgust on their faces. Whether intentional or not, it made the situation even more uncomfortable and unwelcoming.

Does Five Guys offer gluten-free options?
The only products we offer that contain gluten are our buns, hot dogs (Canada only), HP sauce (UK only), and the malt vinegar condiment for our fries. In Canada, our Poutine Gravy condiment also contains gluten. All of our sandwiches, including burgers, hot dogs and the veggie sandwich, are available without a bun via our wrap or bowls.

Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
What is the best way to reheat leftover fries?
Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Also, give those leftover fries a try as hash browns, home fries, or even as the filling in an omelet.
