  We went to Toasted Yolk Cafe today for the first time, and WOW! It blew our minds! Delicious food, great price and ambience, and absolutely remarkable service by Mary!! Attention, Toasted Café Manager/Owner: do whatever you can to keep Mary forever! She was an absolute joy to talk to, helped us with a smile every single time, and even treated us to a welcome treat: donuts with caramel Absolutely yummy! But most of all, Mary was professional and kind, helpful and knowledgeable of the menu, checked on us often for more coffee and anything else we may needed, and clearly showed us what excellent customer service is. The impression was so wonderful that I am sure we will be back next weekend again! It's great to see a restaurant that actually takes breakfast to another level. The hash brown casserole is an example of that; you took hash browns and stepped it up to another delicious meal. Your menu has a great variety of dishes - wonderful to see how breakfast can be fun when paired with creativity! Beautiful delicious dishes combined with outstanding service! There's no doubt you will be successful always! P.s. I hope I can ask to be served by Mary again next time. She truly is an example of a happy person and employee! 🌹

  First time experience here and just OMG the food is to die for and honestly we left it up to our amazing server Jayme 😊 she is absolutely incredible, really felt like family, if I could leave more stars I would! We got the Shrimp and Grits plus the Southern Fried Arnold. Come to the Toasted Yolk Cafe, and see Jayme! You will not be disappointed!

  I was pleasantly suprised when comming here. This was originally a back up location as our first was full. I will say this will be a new staple when we come down for vacation. The signature french toast is to die for. The cowboy scramble is pure bliss. The coffee was hot , fresh and plentiful. Service was awesome. Dog friendly patio was awesome and they quickly brought out water

  My husband BJ and I tried The Toasted Yolk today for the first time, and we had such a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was amazing. Our server, Mary, was fantastic — she was very helpful, patient, and welcoming as we took the time to explore the menu and experience this place for the first time. We’ve tried many local restaurants here in Manatee County and have sampled grits from several different places, but we have never had anything quite like the cheese grits made by Evilyn. We told Mary how impressed we were with them, and later she brought Evilyn out so we could meet her. She was such a sweetheart, and it was so nice to be able to personally compliment the person behind such an amazing dish. If you visit The Toasted Yolk, you absolutely have to try their cheese grits — they are hands down the BEST! We will definitely be coming back and can’t wait to enjoy another great meal here.

  We came in and a friendly gentleman opened the door for us as I was walking with assistance necessary. We were then guided immediately to a booth in the Bar taking did not care of us in a timely manner. It took our server, Melissa, 8 1/2 minutes to come and take our drink order and then return with it. She appeared to be a bit more interested in carrying on a conversation with a gentleman sitting at the opposite end of the bar. She was serving as the BARTENDER. We were unsure why they put us in the bar area, but they did. There were a couple other servers on the floor and only a couple other customers. When ordering our food, we ordered a waffle with fruit and a grilled cheese with waffle fries. Those two items took 22:18 minutes to be delivered to our table. A friend of mine called and ordered food. So I placed the order, which we had to call the server over to the Table. It was difficult to get her attention. She was very nice. My friends chicken salad croissant took 13:46 minutes to be delivered to the Table table. She pulled up to park right as it was being delivered. My friend said the waffle with the fruit, that looked beautiful, was absolutely delicious. The waffle was crisp and the fruit was fresh. My other friend got the chicken salad croissant with the waffle fries and thoroughly enjoyed that. I had the grilled cheese with sweet potato fries and found them to be absolutely fantastic. I know they have caramel syrup, which would’ve been a nice dipping sauce for the waffle fries. There was a young male busser cleaning the tables as we were sitting, waiting for our food to come. His back was quite damp from working hard and perspiring. The manager once again held the door open as we were leaving. According to the MANAGER, the restaurant has been open for about two years. We hope they’re successful. My group of friends and I are used to better service.
