They greeted us and gave us time to figure out how we wanted our cheeseburger dressed. The store had patrons sitting down at tables and eating enjoying themselves. You rarely see that in a fast food restaurant. After placing our order we scooped up our drinks. We also collected some roasted peanuts. It's like a tradition to take home some peanuts. They are so good. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Even though 5 Guys is a tad bit expensive, I still feel it is worth the money. The flavor just blooms in your mouth. I say give it a try.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
