We went to celebrate a friend’s birthday; there were 7 of us. When we arrived, they seated us in a booth where we were very uncomfortable and barely fit, so we asked for a regular table. The wait to get another table was incredibly long.
The service overall was good, but our waitress had far too many tables to handle and clearly couldn’t keep up. Some of the dishes were delicious, but others were really disappointing.
The worst part of the entire experience was the bathroom. It was completely dirty and disgusting, with paper scattered all over the floor. Overall, the experience was pretty mediocre, and honestly, I don’t think we’ll be coming back.
I had a reservation for 2 seperate booths, 6 adults in and 5 children in the other and we were seated within 10 mins. First impression..hostess was so attentive, welcoming, pleasant and professional.. service with a smile. The Restuarant is lively, large windows and warm and cozy… I felt like I was in Oregon. The vibe is positively awesome. Absolutely a kid friendly family Restuarant. The booth seating is large and spacious. Our server was Mary J and she was so delightful, very attentive, courteous, pleasant, and professional. It’s a challenging task to take orders for 5 energetic and vibrant kids ranging from 4 to 15 yrs old and Mary J handled it flawlessly. For starters I had Bacon candy, caramelized Brussel sprouts and Cajun fries to share with my family and everyone enjoyed it. I had a Bison Burger with mashed potato… so good. My family also enjoyed Chile Ahi Tuna Bowl dinner, Fettuccine Alfredo, Blknd Chix BurritoBowl with on side tapatio crema. We were all stuffed but we shared a s’more Brownie with vanilla ice cream..heavenly decadence! In my opinion, Lazy dog Restuarant does not get 4 yeses, instead it gets the “GoldenBuzzer”
A colleague recommended Lazydog for spectacular burgers. I'm not a regular burger eater, but at 70yrs young I've certainly been around. We, me and a relative from Italy, tried it out last night.
Building is great, has that Colorado feel, staff was friendly, kitchen looked clean. We both ordered burgers, fries. The burger was totally unspectacular, meat was small, dry couldn't see it from the regular Publix size bun, with a few pieces of lettuce thrown on. I probably would have sent it back if we hadn't waiting 40min. The fries on the other hand were hot and crispy, which is a must for me. The waiter was friendly, helpful, although didn't see him often so I needed to flag down another waiter to get condiment that was supposed to be in the side and Lorenzo's BBQ burger was missing the BBQ sauce. I'm closing the $21.00 burger was less in taste and value then the $10.00 burger we tried at Five Guys last week.
I have enjoyed The Lazy Dog Restaurant in the past but my experience of the service and portion of food was very poor this evening. Two of the staff members that I interacted with tonight had outright scowls on their face. I don't know if they were having a bad night but to expect to be tipped when you treat the customer as if they are an object is not something i'm willing to do. The customary twenty percent was given but you will not see me returning. Also, the portions are decreasing in size. This is an unfortunate sign of our times. But when they consider coleslaw as a side and they give you two bites of it, I think it has gone to the extreme. I guess in a sense The Lazy Dog has lived up to its name.

This is why I don’t go out to a lot of Florida restaurants because of shitty workers. In the same breath, this is why I only go to places where I already know people.
I walked into this bar, I usually get taken care of by 2 other bartenders that I like that are actually very good. I haven’t seen them in a while so I’ve been getting questionable service to say the least. It’s so interesting to see people that are terrible at their job still have jobs and that was my experience tonight. The bartenders were GOD AWFUL. No one said hi, offered me a menu, drinks NOTHING. For my entire visit, neither bartenders said anything to me. I waved down the manager who happened to be in the bar area and she, QUITE LITERALLY, saved the visit for me.
She greeted me, took my food and drink order and even checked on me to see if everything was ok. I would have tipped her if I was able to because she was everything the other 2 bartenders weren’t. Great at the job.
People ask me why I only go to restaurants that I know the people at and this is why. I don’t like being annoyed when I’m trying to relax and I don’t tip shitty service.
When I go out, I expect amazing service and to tip the bill every single time and if MELLISA TOMLINSON was bartending instead of managing this particular night, she would have all of my money.
My visit this night was great only because of MELLISA, other than her, it was a terrible experience. AWFUL BARTENDERS this night.
Definitely not worth the money unless I know the people working there already.
