Sadly I must post this review so this once iconic restaurant can make some positive adjustments. My son and his fiancé treated me for Mothers Day Brunch and I was expecting the service and attention of my previous experience. The food was good and the waiter was just ok. However the two girls at the hostess station needed major training and a lesson in proper attire & quite rude to my son when he requested a different waiter she flat out said no! The staff at McDonalds is more professional! Please get your staff in line with the iconic brand and pretentious prices we would not mind paying If you met the standards of the previous years gone by.

The food is always excellent at Abe Louie’s. We keep coming back. Today’s dinner consisted of the prime rib (rare), lemon crusted chicken with roasted potatoes, caesar salad, and the clam chowder. The prime rib was outstanding. The chicken we had before and our daughter loves it ( she is very selective with food). The salad has the best in- house made dressing and we always ask for extra. The clam chowder exceeded our expectations and on par with the one I had in New England. We’ll be back.

Had an very fresh beefsteak tomato salad with med rare steak and a nice Patron Paloma. Attentive wait staff. Reminds me of a good old school NY steakhouse. Highly recommend.

I would not recommend this place. I went for dinner for a party of 6 on 4/19/2026. 4 of us had steak and they were ALL overcooked and very bland tasting. I know we should have sent them back but when a steak is overcooked the only option is to start over and prepare new steaks. We did not want to wait and have the food get cold for the members of our party that did not have steak white they waited for us. We shared a brownie type desert after our steaks. It was one of the worst deserts I ever had. The brownie tasked like it was stale and had no flavor. I was very disappointed. Our server provided good service. We were rushed a little but we had a 10 year old in the group so maybe she thought we would want to eat quickly. Finally, as we left for the night, the female host sat behind her station and stared on her phone and did not acknowledge us as we left. I was escorting my 83 year old mother out the door and it would have been nice of her to thank us or to help me out the door with my mother. So many great/high-end steak restaurants are in this part of Boca Raton that make you feel like king/queen and have excellent service/food. This is not one of them. I will never return to this restaurant.

Went here on Easter Sunday and the overall experience was very much below average for a high end steak house. There were some highlights but also some critical errors that really made the dining experience mediocre at best. It was myself, my wife and our four children. We dine out a significant amount. We were greeted immediately and sat without a wait. Our server, Tom was very fun and interactive. We were sitting down for a full-dining experience with our kids and immediately felt like we were being a bit rushed. We put our wine in and then were asked about appetizers immediately without really getting a proper time for 6 people to review the menu. We proceeded to put in a seafood tower, which was excellent however because the timing was so rushed we didn’t have enough time to enjoy it. I wanted to put in another appetizer as well, which was the bacon, also a crowd favorite. However when we put in the bacon we also had to put the meal in for the table. The steaks came out and we weren’t even half way through the seafood tower. That was then all consolidated. At this point I was disappointed. They knew they put the entrees in far too quickly and really rushed the dining experience when we had over $100 worth of appetizers on the table. At that point it just clearly was not the delivery of a 5 star experience. We had a filet-Benedict 4/5 14 oz strip 4/5 12 oz filet 4/5 and a ribeye that was over cooked…it was ordered medium and at a place like that you expect pink to be the lightest shade you find within an inch of the perimeter of the steak. This one had a cap on it that was completely shriveled and brown 1.5/5. I then tried to order a red wine with my steak. I asked what they had for reds by the glass…proceeded to order the super tuscan which apparently they didn’t have, and our alternate server decided to sub the wine out on his own and tell me “this is better” and I believe it could’ve been a belle glos but he didn’t even bother to come back to the table to ask me what I wanted and took it upon himself to decide for me. When they brought out the sides, and this may be normal for Abe n Louie’s but they did not serve a single side order on a plate. I’ve been fortunate enough to eat at many other top steakhouses and the server has always served the sides, especially with a party of 6 and having 3 sides. Our meal was coming to an end and we then ordered dessert. The skillet cookie was 5/5 and a big hit, Tom also brought over jelly beans which was a nice little touch… It would take a lot for me to ever go back here over our go-to New York Prime or CG. They don’t miss on making it an experience. I’m not letting them off the hook for it being Easter. We were there at 11am and they had light traffic, a party of 6 is going to be there two hours…no need to rush our meal in anticipation of what I’m assuming was a large number of covers the rest of the day.
