This is an amazing little cafe in the heart of downtown Bartow. I have been going to this cafe for over 15 years and they have never disappointed me. The food is amazing!!! The service is friendly and they treat you like one of their family. 10/10 would recommend everyone try them at least once in their life.
First time and let me say it was delicious!! Love the atmosphere and the food is very authentic! I’m so happy I found this restaurant that takes me back to my childhood memories of eating my grandmother cooking from Cuba!
We just moved to Bartow a couple months ago and have been trying local privately owned restaurants. Holy cow we were impressed with the food at this restaurant!!! When we first pulled up, it wasn’t all bells and whistles and flashy lights. We walked in and it’s clean smells fresh with a great decor. The food was absolutely outstanding! Exactly like my grandmother used to make… Recipes I’ve been trying To re-create since she passed away and that I’ve been unable to, but holy cow I felt like I was right back in grandma’s kitchen! Food was fresh, authentic, and it was obvious it didn’t come from a can, but from the love of someone who loves what she does and does what she loves! We were blessed enough to meet the owner who’s a wonderful woman and I cannot wait to go back! I get the feeling that we’re going to become like family very quickly. Amazing place and I highly recommend … Just save a seat for me :-)

Amazing food!
I'm a new resident to the Bartow area so I've been trying the big box stores and hidden gems when it comes to restaurants. Today I had a pretty decisive craving for Caribbean food. I searched my area and found this little restaurant. I had seen in it in passing through downtown Bartow as I frequent the streets as a DoorDash/ Instacart driver but thought it was more like a sandwich cafe shop rather than the truly magnificent place this is.
To start, the staff was so courteous and kind to both my son and I. I honestly felt like I was back at Titi's house getting the "¡Ven Comé!" treatment. They quickly took our drink orders and gave us ample time to choose our dishes without pressure and with beautiful attitudes to match their homey atmosphere.
I ordered the Ropa Vieja (because Cuban staple of course), Sweet Plantains, a Beef Empanada, and Flan (forgot to take a picture). They were so kind to offer my son a small bowl of rice and beans while we waited. Now, I like my food hot when it comes out and from the pictures I believe you can see just how fresh and hot it came out. Not only did they bring the food we ordered out and an extra bowl of rice and beans, they added a basket of sliced Cuban bread with butter, which as a Puerto Rican, is one of the best parts of a meal to soak up all those juices from the meat. 10/10 on the food it was so delicious and fresh I thought I was at Mami's house for dinner.
Thank you ladies for an incredible dinner and most importantly your hospitality and warm invitation to your wonderful establishment. Can't wait to go back.
As someone with a Cuban grandpa that would make picodillo growing up I’m very picky about it! But this place is off the chain!!! Tasted just like I was in my grandpa’s kitchen. Sooooo good! Down to the Cuban sandwich and the plantaines highly recommend!
