  Five stars, without a doubt! Joseph was very attentive and engaging. Wagyu hot rock was the highlight- melts in your mouth. O-Ku Rock Shrimp is a must. Usuzukuri, Blazing Saddles, and Black Magic were fantastic. If you like passionfruit, you need to try Sugar & Spice. The restaurant is decorated very well. Feels like a high end hotel- well kept and clean. If you are in the area, you have to come into O-Ku. We will be back and we will ask for Joseph.

  BEWARE: This restaurant used BLEACH to clean their fabric rocking chairs outside… when sitting down, my whole parties pants and shirts got bleached. At absolutely no point should bleach be used to clean fabrics, and it makes me wonder what other things they use bleach to clean INSIDE the restaurant- major health concern. Not to mention the bleach had a strong odor, implying that they do not use the proper bleach that follows health regulations… I would think twice about eating at this establishment. Management is either cutting corners or not following proper health codes- either way, not a good look!

  Our family (5 adults) recently visited Oku in Alys Beach, Fl. We made a reservation beforehand We were seated promptly. Our server, Trey, greeted us promptly and provided drink and dinner menus. After entering our drink orders, Trey came back and thoroughly reviewed the entire menu. He explained what all the sections included and provided some helpful suggestions. The cucumber and avocado salad was small but delicious. The crispy rice was so good, we ordered a second helping. The rock shrimp was very good. The sake usuzukuri was excellent as was the hamachi carpaccio. We also shared the steak and wasabi which was great. Another dish that we had was the tuna tuna, delicious. The service was amazing. Thank you for a great meal and experience.

  We've visited O-Ku to celebrate my birthday and had the BEST experience! Our server Trey was absolutely fantastic - he helped us with menu recommendations, brought us special treats throughout the night and truly made us feel like we were VIPs. The entire staffed gave me a handwritten birthday card, which I thought was such a special touch. As always, the food was exceptional! We love the blazing saddles and oceanside rolls, the yellowtail carpaccio and the crispy rice. We got to try their ube soft serve with the sesame sugar donut holes for dessert and were blown away at how delicious the combo was. HIGHLY recommend visiting O-Ku Alys Beach any day of the week while visiting the 30A area!

  This was my second visit to O-Ku, my husband's first and we can't wait to return! Bartenders Joey & Aaron didn't miss a mark. I didn't catch the barback's name but he was very attentive and friendly, as well. The space is beautiful. I will admit: the items are pricey when compared to other small plates/tasting menus we have experienced, but the food is phenomenal! Miso soup is definitely one of, if not the best, I've had. I favored the A5 Waygu Temaki, hubby adored the Old Yeller nigiri, and the soft serve ice cream is NOT to be missed!
