  Loved this place. Very high-end, so go in expecting to spend — this is not low-tier sushi and it doesn't pretend to be. The wagyu nigiri was excellent, and the Dato Chokoreto dessert was rich, complex, and totally unique. Our server Ashley was so attentive and made the whole experience feel seamless. Worth every penny.

  O-ku Alys Beach feels more like an efficient machine than an experience. My server (Trey) had a great personality and was incredibly knowledgeable on the menu, which saved this from being a 3-star rating. The hostess forgot to seat me despite arriving for a reservation, food arrived out of order and then all at once, and dishes varied from sub-par (cucumber and avocado) to exceptional (sake usuzukuri). I sat at the sushi bar, had to steal chopsticks from the open placesetting next to me, and there were zero pleasantries between the chefs and any guests, which is something I usually cherish at sushi restaurants. It appears to be a solid place for a group dinner, but it fell short at a solo level.

  Absolutely wonderful experience! The food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We celebrated my wife’s birthday here, and it was such a nice surprise to find a birthday card on the table signed by the entire team. The chef also sent out a complimentary marinated salmon dish for her birthday, which made the evening feel even more special. We came as a family with our 7- and 10-year-old children, and everyone was able to find something they really enjoyed. Great food, great service, and a very welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend O-Ku!

  We had such a wonderful experience here! We were in town for a bachelorette trip, and some of our original restaurant plans ended up falling behind schedule, so we were scrambling a little to find somewhere that could accommodate our group. Luckily, this place opened up for us, and it honestly ended up being exactly what we needed. From the moment we arrived, we received the kind of service and experience we had been hoping for, especially for our bride. Our waitress, Leslie, was absolutely amazing. She was so kind, attentive, and welcoming and really helped make the experience feel special for our entire group. The food was AMAZING! This was our last day of the bachelorette trip, so being able to end the weekend with such a great experience meant so much to us. We are incredibly grateful to Leslie and everyone who made our visit so memorable. It truly felt like the perfect way to celebrate our bride and wrap up an amazing trip. Thank you so much!

  We had such a great evening at O-Ku. From the moment we sat down, Chloe made us feel so welcome and taken care of. She was warm, attentive, and gave us excellent service throughout the entire meal. We started with the edamame with truffle oil, which was delicious and such a perfect way to begin. Also enjoyed the sugar & spice cocktail. The ceviche spoons were one of my favorite bites of the night—fresh, flavorful, beautifully presented, and definitely something I would order again. Highly recommend the electric eel roll is always delicious! The Wagyu was another highlight. It was incredibly tender, rich, and perfectly prepared. Everything we tried felt elevated without being overdone, and the quality really stood out. What made the evening especially memorable was Chloe. Great food is always important, but wonderful service can completely change the experience, and she truly did that for us. We left very happy and are already looking forward to coming back.
