  A family member of mine had a prom send off at this location. And the staff was condescending and rather racist. Making in appropriate comments about the event. I did not feel welcomed nor well received despite my family member having paid to host this event here. Staff was not attentive nor helpful, in fact they were rude and judgmental. It’s very sad how blatant their disdain for black people showed in the way we were treated. I would never patronize this establishment outside of this event, as I now know how they truly view black people. I had never been to this venue before, and now I see why my energy kept me away from a place like this. If you don’t act in a way that these folks are familiar with you are treated as if you are less then. Even when you obviously are much more affluent than the staff. This place was not hospitable at all. I’m glad I didn’t indulge in anything they served so I didn’t need to give any tips. Even if staff members were not happy with the event setup or the way things were going, patrons should NEVER be subjected to hearing rude statements and treatment. This place is a thumbs down I won’t ever patronize on my own, and I’ll be sure to post on social media the disturbing experience. Although our little ladies looked phenomenal and enjoyed themselves.

  Came to Tonic for our first time and overall very good and a nice dinner. The hostess was so welcoming and our server Chloe was outstanding. She was so friendly, attentive, and we had nice conversations with her. She was so great! We ordered the fig and burrata salad which was a special. It came with pine nuts and blueberries- really nice! My husband ordered the steak special with house cut fries and a beef reduction. It was really good, but the only “complaint” was how much they drenched the fries in the sauce. I would recommend just putting it over the steak and maybe a little extra on the side if you wanna dip or have extra sauce. It made the fries very soggy. We also ordered the lobster risotto special and no complaints on that dish. Delicious!! So buttery and flavorful. They have a really cute outside seating patio area and we are looking forward to coming back and sitting out there to have some drinks and food when the weather is a little bit nicer. Parking was very convenient- street parking or a garage attached to the restaurant. Overall, very good and can’t wait to come back.
