- AKA KSep 3, 20261.0I ordered the Nachos BellGrande from Taco Bell, and unfortunately the tortilla chips had a noticeable bitter, unpleasant taste. At first I thought maybe it was just me, so I asked my husband to try them, and he noticed the same bitter taste. My son also tasted them and said the tortilla chips did not taste right. I understand that food quality can sometimes vary, but this was disappointing and made us uncomfortable eating the nachos. I later read that a bitter taste in fried foods can sometimes be related to old or improperly maintained cooking oil, although I cannot say for certain that this was the cause. I hope Taco Bell takes this seriously and checks the quality and freshness of the chips and cooking oil at this location. I would expect better quality control, especially when serving food to customers.
