- TCthea calderAug 1, 20265.0The thing that stands out most is the level of service. My first call was at 8pm and indeed, one of the owners answered. Every time I called, I spoke with one of the owners and they knew who I was. This availability helps customers know that they have the business' full attention. I really appreciated that. We hosted a funeral luncheon at the Marshallton Steakhouse. There wasn’t a lot of time for my family to prepare, so it was very helpful that the restaurant does this regularly. There is even a funeral menu to make it easy to choose your meal (when you are also handling a ton of other decisions). I needed a special meal for my dietary restrictions- no problem, and it was delicious. Everyone was very happy with the buffet. Logistically, they do not have easels but we were able to display photos and flowers in the entryway and it looked great. Thank you, Joe, for the excellent service and the care you put into our sad occasion. I highly recommend the food and the people at Marshallton Steakhouse/Appleton Catering.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
A 25% deposit is required to confirm all orders. Full payment is due 7 days prior to the event. There are no cancellations after full payment is due. Any events with full service will require final head count, changes, and final payment 14 days prior to the event. There are no cancellations after full payment is due.
Your order begins well before you receive it. This starts with ordering food from our many vendors, receiving, prepping, cooking, and delivery. This can be days or even weeks ahead. For this reason, we cannot cancel your food after the payment due date. It is suggested that you have a contingency plan for bad weather. If you decide not to take delivery for any reason, as a courtesy, your order can be frozen and held for a later date for no charge, or we will deliver to a homeless shelter in your name with no delivery charge.

We charge $35 for cold order drop-off up to 10 miles (over 10 miles charged per mile); $50 for warm order drop-off up to 10 miles (over 10 miles charged per mile); $95 delivery and setup to 10 miles (over 10 miles charged per mile); and $20 charge per chafing dish - includes all Sterno, tongs, serving spoons, bowls, and bread baskets.

Full-service catered events include linens, plates and silverware, servers, bartenders, and a banquet captain in charge of the event. We will set up your appetizers and the buffet, set the tables in your dining room, serve from behind the buffet, and clean up the entire event.
