For more than 30 years, PrimoHoagies has been bringing the unmistakable taste of Philadelphia to the communities it serves. Founded in South Philadelphia, the brand built its reputation on quality — premium meats and cheeses, award-winning seeded bread, and hoagies crafted fresh to order. More than just a sandwich, a hoagie is a Philly staple rooted in tradition, built with care, and defined by the quality of every ingredient.
Went to their Grand Opening. I ordered 2 roast beef primo hoagies, with lettuce, onion and everything sweet on an unseeded dry roll. It was packed and the workers were extremely busy, so I honestly didn’t expect much. However, my husband and I were impressed with the quality of the meat, the softness of the roll and it being made exactly as I expressed when I ordered. This is now our new go-to for subs!! Thanks Primo’s… see you soon😊

Took my father to tthe Newark Primo Hoagies the week when they originally opened before the Grand Opening event. I was very impressed entering at the openness and cleanliness of the store. The employees were welcoming. My dad got the roast beef with Cooper sharp and toppings. He did get the non seeded rolls as he likes a softer bread and most know it is softer than the seeded in Italian bread. The hoagie was packed and my dad said it was absolutely delicious. Will definitly be returning.

40 minutes late on an online order. Not a care in the world for the people standing around waiting. Should offer seating if it’s gonna be a waiting room. 👍 Kirkwood clears.

It was actually pretty good at half price grand
opening special prices. But very dry, even though I added a mayo and vinegar to the oil that comes with it.
The bread was very dry and hard to swallow, and the amount of meat was much smaller than I expected. Good, but Jersey Mike’s is better. I often wonder if during special promotions like 50% off if they give you less for your money, but as it was my first impression that isn’t a good thing to do if that was the case.
