This place used to be great, but honestly I hate going in there these days. It’s evident that the management no longer cares about the customer experience at all.
There are never ever any plastic bags over the produce section. I mean never. You grab lettuce, look up for a bag, nope, not there. You have to go get a small bag from the organic food area and hope you can stuff your lettuce into it. I mean how hard is it to keep a bag roll replaced periodically? A clue, it’s not hard.
They leave restocking carts all over, and you get yelled at for moving them out of the way to get by. There is always a cart by produce blocking access to the shelves. Why? Put it away when you’re done with it, it’s not hard.
They frequently run out of dairy products like plain Greek yogurt and half and half. Which clearly means they’re not planning or budgeting for the needs of the community they serve.

The store is nice, but the employees are excellent! Kristen, Taylor, among many many others they go above and beyond! The reason I put four stars and not five is because I would really like to see less products with bioengineered food ingredients in them. It's getting out of hand.

This is hands down the best "normal" supermarket I've been to in the Newark area. The produce section is fantastic: low prices and stuff is fresh, selection is pretty good too. Frozen fish section is decent. Meat and poultry is decent too. Good plain yogurt section. Great buttermilk. The spice section is even decent. I never have to wait long at checkout. The staff here are friendly and helpful. Store is clean and the carts work well. If there is any one weak point of the store, it is the bakery. I prefer Lidl or Trader Joe's for bread. The baking aisle is also lacking: they only stock basic flours. I recommend Apna Bazar for flours. Much more selection. This is a great store to shop at weekly, then I hit up other stores periodically for specialty items. Very grateful to live near here, thank you to everyone who makes this store so awesome.
