- THTamara HolmesMay 17, 20261.0Black mold??? Wow! Purchased two onions on May 3 and brought them home to find black mold growing inside them. This is not just a quality issue, this is a serious health hazard. Black mold can be extremely dangerous, and many shoppers would not know to look for it or recognize it. What makes this worse is that a few years ago the GM acknowledged to me that this was a known problem in their produce department. Nothing has changed. I called the store immediately after discovering this, was told no manager was available, and an employee took my name. No one has ever called me back. This store is selling contaminated produce and not taking responsibility for it.
