Wow! Surprisingly awesome experience at Outback Middletown. Promptly greeted and sat with immediate service from over-the-top bartender Luis who went above and beyond to deliver impeccable drink service. Love him! Prompt food delivery with perfectly cooked steaks and sides. Lovely visit from manager Alicia who asked about our meal and told us about the 6pm Aussi chant (very fun!) From start to finish this was THE BEST chain experience in Middletown.

One star for the management and hosting staff at this establishment. I’m writing this because the way my family was treated discriminatory and needs to be addressed. On August 6, 2026, I took my family to Outback Steakhouse for my mother’s birthday. She requested one of the corner booths with the circular table because she wanted to sit surrounded by her children. The hostess in the blue shirt told us the booth was closed due to a leak. My mother asked about the identical booth across the restaurant and was given the same explanation. We accepted it and were seated at a table directly beside the supposedly “leaking” booth. While eating, we noticed there was no visible leak or water. Then another party of five arrived, and the same hostess seated them in the exact booth we had been told was unavailable because of a leak. My mother understandably asked why they were allowed to sit there when we were not. The hostess first said their party was larger. We counted and confirmed both parties had five people. She then said it was “up to the manager’s discretion.” We asked for the manager, Angie. We explained that we were told the booth was unavailable because of a leak, yet another party was allowed to sit there. Angie stated that they had been “given the option” to sit there despite the leak. Our concern was simple: why were we never given that same option? Angie was nearby when we were told the booth was unavailable and did not correct the hostess. She apologized and said it was not her intention for us to “perceive” discrimination. Regardless of intent, customers should be given the same information and options and have the same rules applied to them. What happened was inconsistent and extremely upsetting, especially on my mother’s birthday. I do want to recognize our waiter, Brad. His patience, kindness, and excellent service were the saving grace of this experience. The chefs also deserve recognition—the steaks were cooked perfectly, and the ribeye was excellent. Brad and the kitchen staff are the five stars in this review. I’m not looking for freebies or compensation. I simply hope management addresses what happened so another family does not have this same experience. We genuinely like this restaurant, but this situation needs to be taken seriously.

I went to this Outback with my girl friend she treated me for my birthday on 7/15/2026. We went around 11:00 to be the crowd we got seated ordered drinks and an appetizer we waited for it for 15-20 minutes when it came out it was ice cold they took it back and said they will remake it what they did was put it in the microwave oven and everything ran together. When we got our food the steak was well done when I asked for it to be a little pink in the center this was a horrible experience this use to be my favorite steak place not anymore. I wrote to the company and told them our experience and was told they would take care of it it has be over three weeks and still no coupons in the mail I live in Middletown it does't take that long for mail to get to you. Called was getting the run around with the employees and the Manger now he's always in a meeting or not there this is so shameful and unprofessional with the way prices are so high to go out to eat. I am so disappointed in this establishment.
