  Dr DaVon Gordon Sr I had a plate of jerk chicken, Baked Salmon and curry chicken I had an order of oxtails and I had an order of goat serve with a mixture of veggies we had yams on one tray we had white rice. We have macaroni and cheese. We’ve had cabbage, which is excellent. The yams are superb. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed if you pick tropical delight as your next restaurant to eat at we discovered this place a few months ago and I have not been let down since the month of April 2026 to be exact. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and colleagues who are ever in the Dover area again, tropical delight is one of the best island restaurants on this East Coast. That I’ve had !!!!!   Jerk chicken. Not jerk. Its oven baked. Mac not Mac & cheese. Yams ok- goat ok rice and peas not hitting. Im from New york. Back ground Barbados. I made a carribean soup. Took it to work. And bam. They requesting. Why do people not take pride in cooking. No seasoning. A waste of my money. Im hurt. Had to throw 48 dollars in the garbage. Im really upset..

  Oxtails were dry and the plantains were spoiled wasted money smh threw it away

  I ordered take out....I can truly say this was really good. I order 3 platters...in error but I am so glad I did. Loved the whiting and all the sides. Curry chicken with rice and cabbage. You know its good when you eat it the next day....I definitely will be back. I was recommended by Nina....she was right about the food.

  I ordered fried chicken vegetable rice and potato salad, the rice was hard and sweet from the chicken sauce, potato salad tasted like mayo and potato no flavor, chicken was fried good, I also got beef patties, patties was 5 dollars a pattie, it tasted like the patties from Walmart in the pack, my first time eating at this place, I was excited when I seen on DoorDash, but the turn out was not good, the service was bad also, the girl did not speak, she wasn’t inviting, no customer service skill, I spent over 40 dollars, I was not happy with service or food, at least the customer could have been good if the food wasn’t.
