My wife and I visited The Palm for the first time on April 4th, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing, especially considering the price.
The biggest issue was that the restaurant’s air conditioning was apparently broken, but no one informed us before seating us. We only found out after we were already seated and uncomfortable. For a restaurant where we spent well over $200, we expected much better communication and consideration for guests.
Beyond that, the overall atmosphere felt poor, the food was underwhelming, and the waiter’s demeanor came across as inattentive and subpar. The experience simply did not match the reputation or pricing of the restaurant.
We were looking forward to a special dining experience while visiting Washington, DC, but left disappointed. I hope management takes customer comfort and service more seriously in the future.

The Pam in Washington has been here since the early 1970s. The food and service are exemplary. There is nothing on the menu that will surprise, but the people who come here don’t visit for surprises. They want good and dependable food and great service. It works.

I can’t say enough great things about Angela. She truly helps make this restaurant such a wonderful place to dine. From the moment you walk in, she is warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. She keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes while also making sure guests feel taken care of and comfortable.
What really stands out is her professionalism combined with her kindness- she goes above and beyond to create a great experience for everyone. You can tell she genuinely cares, and it shows in the atmosphere and service.
Angela is a huge part of what makes this place so special. Highly recommend!
