Easy to get to from Metro. Food is okay. Not exceptional. They have happy hour at 5-6pm with discounts on drinks. To use their bathroom, you have to get down some very steep stairs. So not great for elder people or disabled. What I really didn't like is that they automatically slammed on 20% group tip for our group of three.
Was a little hot but staff was super nice, prices reasonable, etc

Cute atmosphere, attentive service, and friendly staff who checked on us throughout the meal. The curry puffs were delicious, and the green curry was very good as well. The Pad Thai was enjoyable, though I would recommend eating it fresh at the restaurant, as it loses some of its texture and flavor when taken home.
One thing I especially appreciated is that the food is not overly sweet, which can be hard to find. The flavors felt well-balanced and more authentic. Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely come back again.

This is a neighborhood with lots of Thai food options and several of them are quality. Sampannee is one of the great ones. I eat here probably once every 6 weeks or so. Both carryout and dining in are quality experiences. I've ordered most of the stuff and enjoy it all. An order of wings and panang curry is the go-to.
As a party of 1, I ordered just the roast duck curry. It is quite spicy if you can’t really eat spicy food, but the flavor is decent and the curry broth is rich. The vegetables and pineapple inside were a little bit sour for me, but overall it was a good dish. Atmosphere isn’t the best because there are always people coming in and staff running around. I would love to try more dishes on the menu though.
