  **Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Security Guard Conduct** **Date:** Tuesday, June 30, 2026 **Time:** Approximately 11:05 PM Dear Safeway Management, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the conduct of a security guard at your store on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at approximately 11:05 PM. I was shopping as an Uber delivery driver, completing a customer's order. While reviewing the order, I needed to remove a few items so the total would match the customer's approved amount. During this process, the security guard approached me in an aggressive and unprofessional manner. According to my recollection, he repeatedly used offensive and abusive language, including profanity directed at me. His behavior was intimidating and completely inappropriate for someone interacting with customers. I was also very concerned because the guard was carrying a firearm. During the encounter, I felt threatened by his actions and believed the situation could have escalated. No customer should feel unsafe while shopping in your store. In addition, I felt that I was treated differently because I am Arab. During the encounter, the guard said words in Arabic, which I interpreted as mocking or targeting me because of my background. Whether intentional or not, this made me feel discriminated against and deeply uncomfortable. I respectfully request that management review the store's security camera footage from around 11:05 PM and conduct a thorough investigation into this incident. I also have records of portions of what was said during the encounter and am prepared to provide them if needed. I will also be informing Uber Support about this incident because I was working on an Uber delivery at the time. Depending on the outcome of your investigation, I may also consider pursuing any legal remedies available to me regarding the conduct that I experienced. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and appreciate your prompt attention. I would appreciate a response informing me of the outcome of your investigation and any actions taken.   The bakery ladies were wonderful but the guy in the deli Kalli has the absolute worst customer service. Rude and lazy. Ask for fried chicken and said no more was coming out and I could see a batch in the back. Felt like it was a bother on his to assist me and could barely understand him as he mumble his words. Disappointing experience at this branch

  Why do they close customer service early? It says 8:00 PM, but I arrived 20 minutes before that and they were already gone. Terrible service! The cashiers just stare at you.
