The workers there were not friendly and not pleasant, but at least they were not rude. The staff were all just plain, which is perfectly fine, because they're paid simply to do their work. Could they possibly be Ai beta version? Lol.. I would give 2.5 stars for 50%, but that's not available. 60% would be too generous. It's a market that has most of the items as expected.

The meat, seafood, fruits and vegetables departments are wonderful,and fresh. I find the prices are reasonable. They even have a liquor store. Your one stop shopping.

Placed the order around 6:34pm Friday September 4th 2026 for pickup between 8pm and 9pm. I live in Capitol Heights Md. Due to this early mornings storm my neighborhood will not have power until maybe 09/06. We arrived a few minutes after 8pm. The deli is to close at 8pm. My order was completed at 7:55pm. The order did not contain the deli meat or cheese. The order puller said the deli closed early. I ask why she did not get the manager on duty to handle the deli employees closing early. The order puller said she did not have to do that. I ask her a few times so her manager could hear her clearly. I traveled on the metro from Deanwood to Waterfront for my order. Then said order did not have the meat n cheese. And the order puller did not care that I did not have my complete order. My 12yr old daughter and I are charging our phones at Deanwood Metro and we do not have food to eat because the order puller, deli workers at this Safeway do not have any interest in doing the job they were hired for. It’s almost 11pm. We have not electricity to cook anything. Do not shop at this Safeway.
