- JMJuan Mendez3 days ago1.0It is outrageous that there is no way to get a shopping cart to do one's shopping; I don't know what is going on—the same thing has happened several times, and no one helps.
- DBDuncan BradleySep 27, 20261.0I have been shopping here for 10 years. I'm continually disappointed by this grocery store. Last time I was in, on a slow saturday afternoon, I could not find a shopping cart. There were none in the garage, none in the front or back. The staff I asked were empathetic about them missing but c'mon. Either you invest in new shopping carts or better options to deal with damage or theft, or you don't have a functional grocery store. The cart I ended up with was almost unusable. Not only that, but I ended up with a rotten sweet potato and two rotten red onions. This safeway is not inexpensive and old produce probably stored incorrectly is unacceptable. You're better off going to the Giant in columbia heights which has better prices. Running a grocery store is tough business, but I can't see an excuse for the state of this store.

The male employees doent read the order just makes what they feels like and when its pointed out gets upset that you want what you ordered. Multiple times I have ordered a drink with sweet cream in it. When I asked one of the two morning male employees poured sweet cream on the lid and tried to hand it back. This morning the employee spent 15 mins looking for a salt packet after I asked for the sweet cream to be added to my drink. He refused to add the caramel syrup I requested. Then I asked for my muffin and it was cold.

No matter how few days (or hopefully however many weeks) you go between visits, you will find more expensive products, more discriminatory pricing, more pricing errors, more rotten food, more bugs and rat shit, and the disappearance of the only products that could possibly get you to shop there.
