  The best Safeway in the whole city of Washington Dc. They fancy up there.

  Unlike every other Safeway they do NOT bag your groceries for you, and the cashier conveniently doesn’t let you know about this until they’re done scanning everything. A significant amount of merchandise is locked up with nobody around to unlock it for you. Also there is a liquor store inside, but it’s also locked down with nobody to help you. Otherwise it’s an okay store that you can tell is going downhill like every local Safeway.

  went last night for a few things and stopped to get some scratch off and lady asked what am i doing i’m not supposed to be there taking my time. she was a superviser and didn’t want to give me her name but terrible attitude had no type of great customer service and i was asking a guy for help and this guy goes straight to the pokemon vending machine like are you kidding me.

  Went to get crab legs in store instead of ordering online since I wanted them steamed. Arrived over an hr before and was ignored for like 5 min as I wanted to place an order for the steamed legs. At first I wanted to confirm the price which they were listed at $13.99/lb online, but seems they had old pricing of $20.99/lb to dissuade people from asking since it was an 655pm. Im pretty sure the young associate ignored me so he could tell me they don’t steam after 7pm. Was literally 702pm and I was already waiting after he took someone else’s order ahead of me (skipping me). Just be honest and say you don’t want to have to clean the steamer…

  I came to the store today, April 19, 2026 at 1:41 PM. This is not my first time at the store. I actually live near the store. Today I went to the store and got 26 items totaling $198.05 when I got my items I proceeded to the self check out like I’ve done since the store opened. I was stop by a woman that was at the self checkout. She was an employee. She said they don’t allow more than 15 items to be rung up here I said that’s interesting. I’ve never heard of that. I actually used to work at this store when it first opened from being remodel. She Said yeah that’s what we do here. I said when did thay start she brushed it off and walked away. I continue to ring up my items. She then came back and said other people would have made you start over but I’ll let you continue. I said I appreciate that. The fact that I believe that she’s lying because certain people she just don’t want to deal with so she will discriminate against certain people by the number of items in their cart assuming most likely they won’t pay for it or they will need help from her and she just doesn’t feel like being bothered. It was obvious I didn’t need help so that was the reason she truly continue to “allow” me to continue to ring up my items, but I definitely feel discriminated against. I didn’t call for her help so she shouldn’t have even walked up to me not unless she was walking past and just simply spoke and said hello. REF: 644103457600 AUTH: 00473859
