  Had an amazing time with my family and food was absolutely delicious. Services was good thanks to our waiter she was very helpful & informative being as though that was our first time. The inside didn’t seem to have A/C is the only downfall on a hot summer day.

  Everything was mostly great. Our fries were cold though. Thats a foul. Great food should have great fries. Server was awesome. He still got a good tip for the service.

  This will be my last visit to Hawk n Dove after 43 years of visits. They have completely ruined this place. Let’s start with the menu. Nothing on it. Extremely limited, I think McDonalds has more choices. It’s basically sandwiches only. Now the liquor. Hell they have even limited that. Talk about cheap. They once had a great selection but now limited. No Makers Mark. No Four Roses. It’s basically Jack and Old Forester. Just weak. Then I was told by the bartender that I’ve known for around 15 years that I had inside my credit card upfront because management is watching. I don’t mind doing that, but I have earned trust from the bar staff over these 43 years. But no this ownership group doesn’t give a rats ass about relationships evidently. Just rubbed me the wrong way. Also the AC is always out. And “we are working on it” is played out. And he this. 2 blocks from the US Capitol and they close at 9 and 8 on Saturdays. Again, my last visit here. I’ve been through all the fires and the remodel. I remember the pool table in the back and the poles oddly placed in the middle of some of the rooms they used to have. I guess all things change, but this is bad. Do not come here, it’s overpriced on top of all that and usually filled with right wing staffers. Adios!!

  Christine bartender was excellent the cooks did a great job. Christine stepped up as a bartender and took our order and waited on us while the other waitresses ignored us so she turned the experience around to a great lunch

  I would have loved to enjoy my food, but the flies made it impossible. I was told the A/C was broken, so the windows were open. There were flies constantly around our table and our food, making the entire experience uncomfortable and unsanitary. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when you’re constantly trying to keep bugs away. Unfortunately, because of this, this isn’t somewhere I would choose to visit again. I hope the A/C is repaired and the fly problem is addressed so future customers can have a much better dining experience.
