  I’ve been needing a new scenery for my Togo or maybe just to sit and vibes Guapos has caught my eye. This is my first time being here and when I tell you the atmosphere gives me that San Bernardino vibe that I’ve been craving it definitely feels like home, the staff are super welcoming and the service here is so attentive I can’t wait to see what the food is like. Im pretty sure if the restaurant has that getaway vibe the food will definitely be out of this world, I’ll keep you all updated on how my Guapos platter and seafood soup is….XOXO from a tailgate foodie UPDATE: Food is banging this is the type of food that I’ll ask for thirds for thank you again

  I visited this location last Saturday with a group of six people, and we all ordered the birria tacos. Unfortunately, the food quality was extremely disappointing. The tacos were approximately 95% fat and only 5% meat, making the meal unpleasant and difficult to eat. None of us were able to finish our food because of the excessive amount of fat. I do want to mention that the service itself was excellent, and our waiter was very attentive throughout our visit. However, when we brought our concerns to the staff, the manager informed us that the tacos were prepared as intended and that nothing could be done. Our bill was over $200, which made the experience even more disappointing because we felt the food was not worth the money we spent. I have always enjoyed Guapo’s, which is why this experience was especially upsetting. Due to this incident, I do not believe I will return to this particular location.

  I visited Guapo’s with my family and ordered a chimichanga. While eating, I found what looked like a bread bag twist tie or plastic tie inside the chimichanga. This was very concerning from a food safety and hygiene standpoint. What made the experience even more disappointing was the response from management. When I asked the manager what they could do about the situation, they only apologized at first and did not offer any clear solution or feedback. I had to ask several more times before they finally offered to remove the chimichanga from the bill. I understand that mistakes can happen, but finding a foreign object inside food is a serious issue. I expected the restaurant to take it more seriously and handle the situation more professionally. I hope management reviews its kitchen procedures and improves how staff respond to food safety concerns.

  We visited this restaurant for dinner while traveling from out of town. It was an especially busy evening, so we understand that the staff was managing a high volume of guests, which led to some delays in taking our orders and serving our food. That said, there were several aspects of our experience that could have been improved. Our appetizer was never brought out, and we were not checked on as frequently as expected. While the busy environment likely contributed to this, it did impact the overall dining experience. In terms of the food, it did not meet our expectations. As someone familiar with Tex-Mex cuisine and traditional Mexican dishes, the flavors lacked authenticity. The dishes were under-seasoned, the rice was not fully cooked, and the salsa served with the chips was mild and resembled tomato sauce more than a traditional salsa.

  Guapo's has been around for a while and have a lot of memories from their place on Wisconsin Avenue the old days good plate of food very low-key this Guapo is a little bit more upscale because of the location but the food is good. The service is great and we had a very good experience. The Steak and eggs from their breakfast menu was terrific. The tacos looked very nice and the drinks were pretty decent cocktails and salsa was fresh chips were fresh so it's a go recommended and the bill came somewhere decent as well things to ponder when looking for a Mexican place or for a place in the Western Harbour.
