  The order was placed online for delivery with a specific recommendations. It was perfect. We have been eating there since it opened and I remember meeting the founder and father and his family when they were getting started.

  I’m aware this restaurant has glowing reviews; however, I had a deeply disappointing experience here on Cinco de Mayo last Tuesday. I brought a friend with me after hearing wonderful things about Guapo’s in Tenleytown, and unfortunately, we did not even get the opportunity to try the food due to the lack of service we received. To be clear, we understood the restaurant was busy, and we were genuinely grateful to be seated quickly during such a crowded holiday. The issue was not the wait itself. Our server initially came to take our order, but afterward, we were repeatedly overlooked while surrounding tables who arrived after us were fully attended to. Five minutes after we arrived and gave our orders, a man seated behind us received drinks, food, and continued service promptly, as well as two young women who arrived nearly ten minutes after us received chips, salsa, and further attention before we received anything at all. After waiting extensively with no communication, no updates, and no acknowledgment from staff, it became difficult not to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. As two young Black women simply trying to enjoy the festivities peacefully, the experience left us questioning why we were consistently ignored while others around us and who arrived after us, were served without issue. It is not my desire to leave negative reviews or diminish a business that others clearly enjoy. I’m sure the food and drinks may be excellent. Unfortunately, we would not know, because we were overlooked by nearly every server, including our own. It was an incredibly disheartening and poor experience.

  I've been eating at this restaurant chain for over 25 years. This particular restaurant on Wisconsin Avenue, 4550 Wisconsin Avenue, has been about a 6 out of 10. Whereas when you go to the Rio restaurant or the one near the airport, it's like a quality. I think this particular restaurant needs better chefs or they need to go train at the original restaurant's head chef because I got some steak one time and it was like rubber. It was not like street tacos, cooked well done and seasoned and so forth. I just go to this particular restaurant on 4550 Wisconsin Road because I can get to it fairly easily but the food is not as good. Now the staff is great. They're very nice. They're kind and so forth. They need to work on their food because they charge a lot of money but they're giving out average food. You go to Rio every time and they're getting it down. They got a really good chef there. This particular location just needs to improve. It shouldn't be that hard.

  We were visiting DC and came here one night to eat as a party of eight. Service was great and we all enjoyed the food. My mom and husband said the margaritas were fantastic. My kids were given balloons at the end and they loved that!

  El servicio el dia lunes 4 de mayo... fue pésimo y con bastante retraso y no lo digo solo por mi experiencia si no tambien por la mesa de al lado que tambien se notaban tambien a disgusto con la lentitud que el personal estaba atendiendo las únicas 4 mesas que tenían con 2 meseros o creo que eso eran pues no me ayudaron en casi nada . La comida estaba salada y sus acompañamientos de muy mala calidad deberían mejoras eso si van a cobrar casi 90$ por un plato que lo mas era cebolla y chile verde Luego de eso me que queje con quien me imagino que era la manager me llevaron el nuevo plato según arreglado por mi queja cuando pedí esto para llevar pues a todo el tiempo que se tardaron. Perdí hasta el apetito con mi familia lo pedí para llevar y luego rebice de que aun asi no les importo pues me dieron para llevar el mismo plato salado de primero , después que ellos mismo me enseñaron el plato nuevo no se que paso con ese nuevo plato se lo comieron ellos no se pero yo me fui a mi casa con mismo plato salado qué no servía la verdad muy mala experiencia no recomiendo este lugar con el personal que tenían el lunes 4 de mayo tan torpe ...
