  I have shopped at this Giant since moving to DC seven years ago, but tonight was the last time. I was wearing headphones, which I wear a lot to help me with an invisible disability I have, and did not hear the security person telling me she needed to tag my backpack. This is the first time I’ve ever had to do this. She chases me ten or so feet into the store and immediately starts yelling at me. I was calm and explained I couldn’t hear her. She continued to scream through the entire interaction and told me I should know better than to wear headphones into a grocery store. She was screaming so aggressively that several people stopped to gawk, and I felt humiliated. I had come in to buy one item, and I put it back because it didn’t feel comfortable spending my money at a place that was okay with making me feel so disrespected. I get it, that flagging down someone who can’t hear you is frustrating, but since I was making every effort to be cooperative once I realized the situation, it all felt unnecessary. The one thing the security guard made clear was that from her perspective I was in the wrong and deserved to be treated that way. Since that is the case, I will shop anywhere else.

  Parking space is so bad I even got a ticket for parking with my light on for less than 8mts I only rushed in to get my wife a medication from the pharmacy only to get a 50dollars parking ticket even with my hazards light on.

  Visited several times over our stay. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful.
