An individual who appeared to be experiencing homelessness was allowed to remain inside and approach customers for food. I purchased him a meal because I wanted to help, but customers shouldn’t feel pressured or repeatedly approached when entering a restaurant. The manager asked him to stop or risk being removed, but I felt the situation should have been handled more directly so customers could dine comfortably. The restaurant also had a very unpleasant odor during my visit. Unfortunately, the overall experience made me extremely uncomfortable.

As I enter my order I notice the wait time is 6-12mins okay cool, i’m not in a hurry so they can take their time. I’m non confrontational but this is a business with customers, you should still have the decency to accommodate a customer that you notice standing around for X amount of time.. So the young lady walks in before me and I notice she orders at the counter, keep in mind I only mobile order a MEDIUM SWEET TEA LEMONADE! She receives part of her order and then the rest, PERFECT. I notice my name on the television under the READY section. I also notice the young brown skin gentleman with bifocals on, handing out orders to white folks who came in AFTER me, okay not an issue. I’m still waiting 3-5mins for a medium sized sweet tea lemonade.. At the end of the day business is business, you don’t watch someone stand there empty handed and go on with your business, you should stop as a person in customer service currently, and ask “hey, was there anything I could do for you”. But no, today I did not receive that. So this establishment should accommodate individuals who do have their orders AND WHO DO NOT! As a person of color who supports this business with majority of people of color, we have to do better…
