  I decided to try a new Ethiopian restaurant instead of my usual spot, and I was overwhelmingly disappointed. The service here is nonexistent at best. Two girls who just stay by the bar chatting 24/7. It took 40 minutes to get 2 sambousas, and another 20 minutes to get my deluxe kitfo. I was especially concerned after noticing a habesha couple who came in 20 minutes after I did and ordered the same thing, got their food well before I did. A group of 8 predominantly white people who came in after I did, also got their food before I did. Is there a racial/ethnic policy in this restaurant? The restaurant was hardly busy at all. Such a shame because the food was good, but I don’t spend money where I’m not welcome. Stick to Habesha market.

  Every time I visit DC, i pass by one of the Chercher branches. Their tibs/roasted beef is great. The chacha is also amazing.
