Restaurant Review We came back after a long time, hoping for a good experience, but unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. The restaurant looked quite run down—the ceiling was old, the AC wasn’t working properly, and the overall atmosphere felt neglected. We ordered fried fish, but the batter was undercooked, and we could actually taste the uncooked batter. It was unpleasant, so we sent it back and ordered Chicken 65 instead. Unfortunately, that was extremely dry. The shrimp tandoori was decent, and the Bombay biryani was also okay. However, the Rogan Josh was far too creamy and tasted more like butter chicken (or butter lamb) than Rogan Josh. Service was fine, but overall, the food and atmosphere made the experience a flop. After this visit, we won’t be coming back.

So darn yummy! Food- honestly the best flavored Indian food takeout in dc. (I’ve never eaten inside) the food is flavorful and interesting. Inside- the decor is nice and appeared to be clean. Service- I ordered takeout and food was ready when they said. * I do feel like the portions got smaller and priced higher, but what you gonna do!

Picked up dinner from Bombay Street Food - Dahi Puri and Pav Bhaji and for a restaurant charging $26 for 2 dishes, I expected the food quality/taste to be good but it was really bad. The Dahi Puri came with 6 puris with may be 2 pieces of small cubed potatoes in each and no tomato/onion and only tons and tons of masala sev that did not make any sense. The only good thing about this dish was that Dahi/yogurt tasted good. Pav Bhaji was so so oily and the vegetables were not even mashed, and it tasted like cooked vegetables with random spices rather than Pav Bhaji. I literally ate a few bites and the remainder got tossed in the bin. I am only giving 1 star because there is no option to give 0 star.

One of those local places you go to all the time because it's so good, but forget to review. I've eaten here more times than I can count, both in person and pick up to go, and it's never disappointed.
