  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sierra was absolutely amazing! From the moment we sat down, she made us feel welcomed and taken care of. She was friendly, attentive, professional, and had such a great personality. The drinks were delicious and perfectly made, and she made sure we never had to wait long for anything. You can tell Sierra genuinely enjoys what she does because her energy and customer service were outstanding. She definitely helped make our experience even more enjoyable. If you’re stopping by, make sure you ask for Sierra—you won’t be disappointed! 🍹✨ 10/10 service. We’ll definitely be back!

  Didn’t get a picture of everything cus I was hungry! Great way to try a small bite of everything on their menu. The highlight were the lamb medallions, and chicken kebabs, and appetizer sampler, and the mussels. There is one pickle in the app sample that was so good we ordered a whole other plate - perfect accompaniment to other savory dishes.

  Ambar is really great if you have food allergies. I told my server, Bastian, that I have a carrot allergy and talked to the chef and brought me a copy of a menu with the dishes containing carrots crossed out. This made ordering go so much more smoothly The food was fantastic and I was able to sit outside even though I had a reservation for the bar. I will definitely be going back soon!

  We had such a wonderful experience at Ambar Capitol Hill! Cortney Haskell was incredibly helpful throughout the event planning and reservation process, making everything feel seamless and easy from the very beginning. Our server, Maria was also absolutely wonderful. Maria took such great care of everyone in our group and was especially thoughtful and attentive to guests with significant dietary restrictions, making sure everyone felt comfortable, included, and well taken care of throughout the meal. The food was delicious, the hospitality was fantastic, and the entire experience made our gathering feel really special. Thank you to Cortney and the whole Ambar team for taking such great care of us! Highly recommend for both dining and group events.

  My wife and I were excited to try this place after walking in last winter and were unable to get a table. We made a reservation for brunch at 1:30pm. We were seated, ordered our drinks and food, the bartender asks for our ID’s (which is fine) and left us hanging with them for around 5 minutes before he could came back. Overall the food and drinks were good given we had the bottomless brunch and drinks, but service left a lot to be desired. Anytime we were asked for our next round of food or drinks, it seemed like we were troubling the bartender who looked really comfortable as if he’d worked there a while and didn’t need to try anymore. Seemed like a lot for us to be served pre-batched mimosas. Also, there was no check in to make sure we’re ok or any attentiveness at all. At one point there were 5 staff members at the end of the bar shootin the shi* with the bartender while we sat there trying to get someone’s attention. Then we asked for the check which took 15mins to get and THEN we were asked if everything was ok. I considered sharing our experience with him but knew it wouldn’t help the dining experience of anyone to come. If he’s comfortable enough to remove his shoes so I can see his socks while working at the bar he’s likely too confident to take feedback from a hospitality veteran of 15 years. I really was put off by the experience, we didn’t even do the full 2 hours which made us wonder why he was slow rolling us. The concept is obviously working but feel they should be more focused on attracting repeat clientele. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be back.
