Ordered Grande Fajitas Nachos. The portion was child sized. 7 or 8 chips with cheese, chicken, and steak. It was the smallest and most dissapointing plate of nachos I have ever seen considering it has the word Grande(Spanish for "Large") in it.

Called to ask if they were busy and/or is there a wait, they said “basically no wait, maybe 5 minutes, no reservation needed.” We arrived 13 minutes later and now, “it’s gonna be a 45 to 55 minute wait . . .” ?

My family had a busy sports day with the kids and we decided to stop by On the Border on Mother’s Day for some Mexican food. We’ve been to the Rocky Hill location many times, and it was always a slam dunk, except for this last time, which was absolutely terrible. It started off ok with the waitress brining us the chips, kids drinks, she took the order pretty quick, and then nothing but waiting. The restaurant was less than 50% full, there were still staffed well, but nothing was moving for us. I stopped the waitress and asked, and she said it was coming soon. First they brought out my daughter’s chicken tenders and my “Big Papi” both where ice cold and my daughter’s tenders had raw batter. My wife ordered fajitas for 2 for our older daughter and herself, and the platter came with uncooked veggies and enough chicken for 1 person. We asked for the manager, he came out, waited 15 minutes longer. In the meantime, the staff brought out other people’s food to us, confused as if they had no idea who’s it was… We then asked for another manager, she came out 5 minutes after which we showed her the undercooked chicken, which she said it was just mushy. I don’t know why the Rocky Hill CT location dropped the ball so bad on Mother’s Day, but it left my hungry pregnant wife with such a horrible mood because what once was our favorite Mexican joint to eat turned out to being a disappointing nightmare. I hope this message makes it to corporate and this location gets an audit. They are very lucky my 11yr old didn’t get sick after eating her chicken tenders and the last one being undercooked. Shame on On the Boarder for ruining a pregnant moms Mothers Day dinner, especially since it was a random drop in after a hectic day of kids sports….

This place used to be great, today the experience was different the tables were very dirty 5+ associates playing around I was going to walk out but because my partner want to eat there I stay I order the ultimate fajita the food came cold, I ask for well done steak and it was all red I didn’t eat I spoke to the manager Spanish girl she really didn’t pays no attention 37 dollars in the garbage. Never again or they need to hire better staff and promoted someone that can manage the staff better.

Server was great, atmosphere same as ever, but their new menus are terrible and bland. Got rid of pick 4 and now can only pick 3 for same price. Beef empanada no longer come with queso and have to pay 3 dollars for 2 Oz. Also food quality isn't the same, beef empanada are bigger but basically empty very little meat inside. Dos equis fish tacos replaced with bland flavorless white fish. You guys should go back to old menu and food supplier everything got much worse.
