  regarding an upsetting experience I had at Dunkin location at approximately 4:30 PM on September 12, 2026 across the street from way back burger I visit this location frequently, often on my way back from Guilford, and I normally have no issues.That is why today’s interaction was so surprising and disappointing. I came in and ordered a small caramel iced coffee.After taking a sip, I mentioned that it tasted unusually bitter. The male employee working at the time acknowledged that the batch had not been made properly and was bitter, and he made me another coffee. I remained polite throughout the interaction, thanked them, and tipped the woman working at the front. When I tasted the replacement, it tasted extremely watery to me, so I brought that to their attention.At that point, instead of simply addressing my concern, the male employee began challenging me. He had the female employee taste the coffee and asked whether she thought it was watery. She said it tasted like cold brew. He then tasted it himself and said it did not taste watery. I explained that regardless of how it tasted to them, I did not like the coffee I had purchased and asked what he would like me to do.I also mentioned that I come to this location regularly and normally do not have problems. He responded that I was lying because he works there every day and had never seen me before. The interaction then became completely inappropriate and personal. When I said that the situation was making me anxious and that I would never speak to one of my own clients that way, he responded, “I don’t care about your anxiety.I’m just here to make coffee” He then made comments along the lines of, “Let me guess, you have a problem accepting what’s given to you,” and asked whether I was “a liberal When I explained that I had not been having a bad day and was simply trying to get the coffee I ordered, I mentioned that I had actually been having a difficult year He responded by mocking me and saying, essentially, “Now you’re crying because you didn’t get your coffee made the right way — such a liberal. At that point, this was no longer a disagreement about how a cup of coffee tasted felt mocked, personally insulted, and unnecessarily drawn into political comments by an employee while simply trying to resolve an issue with something I purchased. Immediately afterward, I called the other Dunkin location in Old Saybrook next to staples and spoke with Lily. She was incredibly kind and professional and informed me that Max, the owner of the two locations, would be contacting me I truly appreciated the way she handled my call. Lily is amazing and credit is due to her because she was SO helpful and definitely took the situation seriously and it didn’t even happen at her store. I am still very shaken by the interaction I do not normally make a major issue out of a customer service problem, and I have continued returning to this location precisely because my previous experiences have generally been fine.However, I believe what happened today crossed a serious lineA customer should be able to say that a drink does not taste right without being called a liar, mocked for experiencing anxiety, or having political assumptions and insults directed at them. I sincerely hope the owner reaches out and that this incident is addressed.would also appreciate confirmation that my complaint has been received and reviewed.   Been going to this Dunkin location for the past year with the work team. Food and items seem to be inconsistent. How the mobile order system over here works, you can drive around regular orders as instructed by the signage. Don’t appreciate the negative attitude. My guys and I will be taking our business somewhere. We must order too much for this location.

  Definitely the worst Dunkin I’ve ever been to. When they screw up your food they refund you in cash/change. Not credit back on your credit card. Entirely managerial issue
