- CCColby6 days ago2.0When I was in prison (a few times), the dining hall ran like clockwork. Prisoners lined up, other prisoners scooped slop into bowls, and somehow it just worked. Simple model, zero excuses. So I genuinely don’t understand how Chipotle can’t get it right. It’s literally the same concept: people stand in line, you get a bowl of slop. That’s it. Prisoners managed to execute that basic system better than Chipotle does with their nine ingredients and corporate budget. Meanwhile, Chipotle’s always out of chicken, always out of forks, always out of napkins, always out of something. They can’t keep basic stock, they can’t keep portions consistent, and they definitely can’t keep prices consistent. It used to be cheap and filling. Now the quality’s worse, the portions are smaller, the prices are higher, and somehow the employees are less competent than some of the diddlers slinging beans in prison. You get less, you pay more, and you leave wondering why you just got scammed in a burrito line. Prisoners ran a tighter operation. That’s not an opinion, that’s a fact.
