I visited Rawa Mediterranean Fusion earlier today before the dinner rush, and honestly, I had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The ambiance alone immediately stood out to me — beautiful decor, interesting artwork, and one of the best restaurant music vibes I’ve experienced in a while. They played modern and classic songs reimagined in smooth jazzy/soulful renditions, and it fit the atmosphere perfectly. It felt relaxing, warm, and intentional.
Swetha, my waitress, was incredibly sweet, patient, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She gave great suggestions and made me feel comfortable taking my time deciding. Rafat also came over after the food arrived to check on everything, and we ended up having such a great conversation about travel, where we’re from, and his experiences living in abroad. It’s rare to find places where the hospitality feels genuinely personal and welcoming, but this place absolutely had that energy.
Now let’s talk about the food… absolutely delicious.
What originally drew me in was the menu because everything looked so fresh and authentic — especially the soups. I LOVE soup, so seeing multiple unique soup options immediately caught my attention. I ended up ordering the mixed grill special Swetha recommended, which came with lamb kebabs, chicken kebabs, lamb chops, fresh pita, onion salad, hummus, grilled shallots, and grilled tomato.
Everything was seasoned perfectly and cooked beautifully. The onion salad was ridiculously good (and as someone obsessed with onions, trust me when I say I notice these things). The pita is made fresh to order, and you can literally hear them preparing the dough in the kitchen before baking it fresh. That alone elevated the experience.
Even the hummus impressed me, and I’m usually not a huge hummus person. I loved that it had both the smooth texture and pieces of whole chickpeas mixed in. Rafat suggested I layer hummus, meat, and vegetables into the pita together, and wow… chef’s kiss.
The meal also came with a Prosecco passion fruit drink that was AMAZING. And for dessert, I had the Basbousa with yogurt and honey drizzle, which was absolutely worth it.
One thing I appreciated most is that this is NOT fast food. Everything is made fresh to order, and yes, that means you may wait around 20–25 minutes for your meal, but it is 1000% worth it. This is the kind of place where you sit, relax, enjoy the atmosphere, have conversation, and truly enjoy your food.
I will absolutely be back to try more things on the menu, and I genuinely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for fresh, flavorful, authentic Mediterranean fusion food with great hospitality and a beautiful atmosphere.
