He was told they could not make him the quesadilla because he had to order it online or on the app. He came back out to the car quite upset.So, I downloaded the app but couldn't open it. I went online but the menu wouldn't open. What am I supposed to do? Drive home where I have service, order online and then drive back to Chipotle? Ridiculous. I drove to the drive up window to ask why they wouldn't make my son a quesadilla. I was told it was a policy at many Chipotles and the manager of the Monroe Chipotle recently instituted this policy. The employee told me it is to alleviate congestion in the restaurant when busy. I looked beyond her and saw no one in line. I asked, "And are you very busy now?" Gotcha - they weren't and she said my son could come back in and they would make the quesadilla. My thought is discrimination: what if you are low income and can't afford a smart phone? What if you are elderly and are not tech savvy but still enjoy a Chipotle's quesadilla? Or what if you have a disability and it is a good life skill to go into a restaurant and order in person? By the way, my son was wearing a Special Olympics hat today.
