  Omg, this has gone downhill. Food was meh, at best and soooo slow! In response to the owner, I'm curious, what "records" do you have of restaurant patrons that you are using to confirm that I ate there? Also I might add l, that a better response could be "I'm sorry that you were disappointed." Our weekday lunch took nearly two hours - and we ordered nearly immediately after being seated. The restaurant had maybe four tables seated. It seemed that orders were just not coming out of the back very quickly. And when it did come out, it really wasn't worth the wait.

  This place is fantastic. I have a severe egg allergy and I was able to order pancakes here! They were delicious. The facon (fake bacon) was crispy and just as good as the pancakes. The cinnamon iced tea I had was sweet on its own with a hint of cinnamon and came with a cinnamon stick. Highly recommend and would definitely come back.

  ION is truly the best vegan restaurant in CT. I’ve been going to their restaurant when they opened back in the 90’s. The portions, the prices and the food are all natural and made fresh. They have good specials and for being vegan for 12 years, my wife and I can walk into ION with no worries because ION is all vegan. The seitan is incredible along with a menu for perfection. The owner is extremely talented with her amazing recipes and a great staff

  We always had good food with a friendly, welcoming staff at Ion. This was our first take-out order, placed on their website. We received a confirmation at 4:27pm, specifying a pickup at 5:12. At 5:15 we were told to wait another half hour. It is not unexpected that a busy restaurant will occasionally have a glitch. The problem was the uncaring , rushed response of the waitress, who implied it must have been our fault in how we placed the order. She had no interest in trying to move it along quicker and only kept repeating that "the system says it is still in prep" and told me to move away and stand by the door. I expect the food is still a worthwhile trip, but perhaps think twice before ordering on line, or at least hope you will not have to work with the waitress who we suffered with. We unfortunately had to leave and cancelled the order.
