Arrive at 10:50pm, ordered on the app prior to arrival expecting to be quicker but I sat for the first 20 minutes and hadn’t moved a single inch, only for the delivery to pull in behind me and proceed to honk and yell profanities at me the whole time, like there was anywhere I could go? It only took me a half hour to get to the ordering kiosk, but after placing my order it took an additional 10 minutes to get to the window, and another 15 on top of that AT THE WINDOW, waiting for my food…. Only for them to finally ask me my name for my order, they haven’t even started making it! Having to wait another 10 minutes. So overall I spent over a hour waiting to get my food at a FAST FOOD ESTABLISHMENT. So much for FAST food. Only for the delivery truck to be blocking the exit and having to squeeze between him to get out. Only to get home and discover there’s ZERO lettuce in my tacos, nor my burrito I specifically paid extra for, and my quesadillas barely even cooked, so much so the cheese isn’t even melted…. Never mind the seasoned rice I paid extra for to be added to this quesadilla that’s also clearly missing.
This was my go-to place for the better part of 2 years until last night. I placed a mobile order with my friends at 9 pm and arrived at this Taco Bell at about 9:10-9:15, right on time. The app prompted that my order was complete and that my food had been picked up. This location has been notorious for long wait times, so we decided to wait it out for 20 minutes until about 9:30-9:35, when I finally decided to ask where my order was. After giving my name, which was under which my account was, I was told that I had ordered at the wrong location (Buckland Mall Taco Bell, not Manchester), and after double-checking, I affirmed to them that I didn't, as the address on my app was the correct one, 1524 Buckland Road, Manchester, CT. The worker, clearly upset, said the order had already been picked up and walked away. We decided to wait another 20-30 minutes for my food, and at this point, it's 9:50. We've waited about 40-50 minutes inside of this Taco Bell for a $13 order that shouldn't take more than 20 minutes. After waiting for this long, I once again ask where the food is, as at this point, I've watched multiple people walk in, place an order, and receive their food before I did. One of the employees finally says that she'll personally make my order, and that she made the order previously and already put it out. Clearly, with no food in my hands or my stomach, they either didn't put the food out, or someone had walked in and taken my order, as the name of the order is on the receipt and pointing directly for anyone to see. If this did occur, why am I, the loyal and, for now, patient customer, taking the blame for this lack of security instead of either the person who unethically took my food or the team just giving food out without checking the app or the person's identity? At about 10:10, when they finally brought my food out (after an hour of waiting in a Taco Bell on a Friday night), I received my food without the included drink in my package. When I ask for the drink, another one of the workers starts screaming at me, saying they had already put the drinks out and that my "boys" had taken them already. I looked to my 2 friends who were with me, clearly with no drinks in their hands, and we lost it. Finally, another lady gives me the drinks and says to stop arguing, and I comply and leave. This was the most disappointing experience I've had at any fast food establishment, especially for one that I've been so loyal to over the years. Normally, when lapses like this occur with the workers forgetting about my order or taking a long time, I'm either greeted with kindness or forgiveness or at least compensated with a free drink, but instead, I was treated with aggression and blame for something that I never did. This was unacceptable, unacceptable.
