Extremely Disappointing experience .. Four of us went and it took for eternity to receive main order .. three of us got there dishes at 10 min interval each ..while the third person's dish arrived ,the first one was already done ...The 4th person had to cancel the order after waiting for more than 40 mins. Apart from Dosa ..rest of the food was tasteless and lacking salt. Staff took for ever to pick up the used dishes of appetizer despite of polite request. The initial dishes we got were not even dry, we had to ask paper napkins .The smell of disinfectant (while staff was cleaning the adjacent table ),was so repulsive that one can not enjoy the food. And the best or worse part of it there was no apologies by the staff.. In nutshell, If you have extra 100 dollar to spend , roll your window and throw them away but do not patronize this unprofessional place.

One of the best restaurants offering authentic Indian food in the Hartford area. However, I am really disappointed with their takeout order system—it's unclear who manages it. About 50% of my takeout orders so far have been completely wrong. Just ordered a dish for ~ $40(bucket biriyani) and the whole order is wrong.

Peppers in Manchester is a fantastic spot for anyone craving an authentic and satisfying thali experience. Their veg and non-veg thalis are generous, beautifully presented, and packed with variety. Each platter offers a great balance of flavors, from rich curries to perfectly cooked sides that make every bite enjoyable. The starters are equally impressive, with plenty of options that are fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned. Whether you prefer crispy appetizers or something spicy and savory, there’s enough variety to please different tastes. One of the standout features is their flavored rice selection, which complements the meal perfectly. Aromatic, well-cooked, and full of taste, the rice adds another layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience. The combination of quality food, good portion sizes, and diverse choices makes Peppers Indian Cuisine a great place to visit for a hearty Indian meal. Highly recommended for thali lovers and anyone wanting to explore a wide range of traditional flavors.

First time trying this restaurant and ordered takeout. We stuck to familiar, benchmark dishes to get a clear sense of their execution. For context, my wife and I have been eating Indian food for decades across dozens of restaurants, and we also cook some dishes at home, so we have a pretty solid baseline for comparison. We ordered samosas, chili shrimp appetizer, chicken tikka masala, lamb saag, and garlic naan. The samosas had a well-made shell, crispy with a nice bit of chew, but the potato and pea filling felt over-seasoned. Not overly spicy, just heavy-handed in a way that muddied the flavor. The chili shrimp was the biggest surprise, and unfortunately not in a good way. The menu describes it as being "spiced with green chili sauce and curry leaves," but what we received tasted closer to sweet-and-sour Chinese takeout: breaded, fried shrimp in a citrusy sauce, and noticeably greasy. It wasn’t unpleasant, just completely different from what was advertised. The main dishes both suffered from the same issue: excessive oil. The chicken tikka masala had a creamy, well-balanced sauce underneath, but it was overwhelmed by visible pools of oil on top. The lamb saag showed real promise: the lamb was tender, the spinach finely integrated, and the seasoning on point, but again, the dish was weighed down by an overabundance of oil that detracted from the overall experience. The garlic naan was the one clear win: nicely cooked with a good balance of butter and garlic. I really wanted to like this place more, but too many elements felt just slightly off, enough to take the enjoyment out of what could have been a very good meal.
