  I’m really happy to go back every time because the people working here really very nice awesome and this supermarket is specialized for Latin American people African people Caribbean people they have all types of products, fresh meat, organic product diary, product, rice, food item, special vegetables, the organic products and vegetables are really, very unique and fresh. I always go here to buy vegetables and meat and rice and all other things I like to go here only don’t wanna go any another supermarket. This is the best supermarket in Hamden according to me this is the number one supermarket in Connecticut.

  I go here a couple times a week because of convenience. Unless you get there before 9 am on a weekday, forget about going to the deli. There are a couple of older women who work there in the a.m. and I have always had a pleasant experience with them. If there is more than one person waiting, I will use the kiosk, and nine times out of ten it won't be ready before you leave. There are always so many people working there, I don't understand why it is always SO slow. When I need cold cuts I usually just drive out to Cheshire Big Y. The carriage situation needs serious help too. I was there before noon today and all the carriages were gone. I usually have to comb the parking lot looking for one of the smaller carriages since those are in high demand and there are so few of them. Avoid this store on weekends because you won't get a carriage.

  The bus comes right in front of the store. It’s a nice store. During the day work week many women my age come shopping here. Hey…pick up a chicken and a chick at the same time sure why not.

  I did not appreciate the fact that I got out of my car to open my trunk and the person who was supposed to put the items in is going to ask me - if I was going to help? Like excuse me? Which part of the policy included me to stay out of my car and help you with a few items while I had my two young children in the car. That's insensitive and I feel disrespected by him asking me this but I did. You don't know my situation or condition being 2 months postpartum- I shouldn't even be lifting hence the reason I do pick ups even so is rare - Walmart, Bjs etc. associates have never had this attitude. 9 items order btw. This happened on 9/15/2026 pickup time 4-5pm.

  9/12/26 2:30–3:00pm Today was full of nasty customers. I was talking to a S&S associate in the freezer isle — asking her if she could price check an item for me, I didn’t understand that digital coupons weren’t already applied onto your account once you clipped them online, so she explained that you have to scan your card at the kiosk at the entrance of the store. Well, as she was explaining to me, a gentleman tried to rudely come up to us interrupted saying “Excuse me! Excuse me! Can someone help me? Can someone help me? I can’t reach (said item)” (no wheelchair or cane, no physical disabilities and tall about 6’1) we ignored him at first because we were clearly talking. THEN another female customer and her daughter, approaches from the other side saying, “hello??! Is someone going to help him? Did someone say yes???” talking to us like we’re little children just screwing around in the isle. I told her “excuse me, she’s helping me right now with something.” No… this guy is gonna wait until I’m done being helped first. For God sakes, this girl is just one person — helping whoever comes to her. Both these customers acted like they didn’t see that she was helping me first??? Because of this I’ll be returning everything tomorrow and will never shop here again. This store brings in very snotty, entitled, and disrespectful customers.
