Great Greek spot with quick, friendly service and no complaints at all. I had the chicken souvlaki Wednesday special for $10, and it was a very good meal for the price. The restaurant was clean, the service was fast, and everything came out as expected. Definitely worth stopping in for a solid Greek meal.

*****************Honest Review: Disappointing First Visit. Not Worth the Price.**************** I visited FRESKOS for the first time around 11:30 a.m., shortly after their 11:00 a.m. opening. While the dining area initially looked nice and clean, there was a strange odor in the air as soon as I walked in. Things went downhill when I went to wash my hands. The bathroom smelled strongly of feces despite appearing clean, and there was water on the floor. It was an unpleasant first impression that could have easily been addressed before opening to customers. The girls at the counter were friendly and recommended the classic chicken gyro, saying it was one of their best items. I ordered that, along with a lamb and beef gyro. When I asked if the lamb and beef could be separated, I was told they could not do that, which I found unusual. I've ordered gyros from many places over the years and have never run into that issue before. I did appreciate the vintage décor and framed photos on the walls. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, which makes the disappointing food even more upsetting. We ate the food in the car, and unfortunately, my chicken gyro was a major disappointment. It was extremely sloppy and fell apart as I ate it because the pita was broken. Bronx Gyros never fall apart, just saying. There was NO dill despite it being advertised, barely any onion or tomato, and a very small amount of hard chicken. Most of what I tasted was sauce. For a $15 gyro, that is a complete rip-off. It looked unappetizing and tasted just okay, which is the last thing you want when you're craving a gyro. On a positive note, the fries were very good. The oil tasted fresh, and they had a nice crunch. My partner thought the lamb and beef gyro was decent, but admitted they had much better elsewhere. In total, we spent +$38, and it felt like money wasted. I understand prices have increased everywhere, but when businesses charge these prices, customers should receive better quality FOOD and a better overall experience. This is my honest feedback. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I will be sharing this experience with fellow foodies. Update 6/10/26--- To whom it may concern, INSTEAD of checking your ego, maybe check your kitchen and facilities. Dismissing a customer's genuine experience isn't a great look. Having a good track record doesn't change the fact that this happened. The bathroom conditions and the food quality during my visit were completely unacceptable. I'm sharing my truth so other customers know what to expect, and I truly hope you take a hard look at your operations rather than just brushing it off.
