Always a great experience here. Their wood fired steaks are flavorful and perfectly cooked. Nice starters and desserts too. Well crafted cocktails and ample wines to pair. Their sourdough with pastrami infused seasoning starts things off right.
Phenomenal all around… truly. This was our first time dining here as I looked up best steak houses around. I made a reservation & it asked for an occasion if any so I said it was my husband’s birthday.. we get there and they decorated our table with confetti for him! That was so very sweet. All of the hostesses, including all wait staff took the time to wish him a happy birthday. The little things go a long way! Our server was Corbin who I must say was the kindest person & very knowledgeable about the menu, each item & wines. He helped us pick out a bottle of wine & was patient. The service he provided was STELLAR. He checked on us at reasonable times, offered help & made side conversations when needed. The food was absolutely incredible to the point where my husband said “I can’t wait to come back here & we’re not even done yet” The short rib gnocchis beef was tender, melted in my mouth & the gnocchi was cooked to perfection.. my husband got a cowboy cut steak with lobster tail & WOW! Steak was juicy, the lobster tail was HUGE, the potatoes were fresh & the mushrooms were such a good touch. The portions, the way everything was put together & the flavor was amazing!
Also, I got a french onion soup to start & it was the BEST soup I’ve had in a very long time. Not oily, not bland.. seriously so well seasoned, cheesy & the bread was not soggy. Love love love.
We will be back.

First time here and definitely will not be the last. Everything was superb. Porterhouse was phenomenal. Carrot cake for dessert, was the cherry on top. The best carrot cake I’ve ever eaten. I would highly recommend this restaurant; worth the wait, if there is one. Alec and the supporting team provided exceptional service.
I ordered filet mignon Medium rare and it was burnt, no juice at all, very surprising although I did have bad ribs once but for the most part the meals have been good. The worst was the waiter, he was not interested in hearing from me just kept saying that is the way Gilberts makes their steaks, NO

Took my wife here for her birthday on 04/29. This was the first time here for both of us. This is a top tier restaurant. All the food was outstanding. Our server was magnificent. The wife and I both commented to each other on how quiet it was while sitting in our booth. We were able to have a conversation at our table without having to try and over-talk the surrounding background noise. I highly recommend visiting J. Gilbert's for an outstanding dining experience.
