  I can’t even put into words how great their service is A++++++ Food was absolutely delicious… went there for the first time this past Father’s Day and was blown away by every part of the place… our waiter was super knowledgeable and just superior service. Definitely my new favorite place

  Been dying to try this place- finally went to celebrate my birthday and the hype did not let down! The cocktails and the food was absolutely delicious! My steak was cooked perfectly rare, and man oh man- now THAT is a baked potato! Yummmmm! The food is *~*SUBLIME*~*! There was adorable little touches they did for my birthday celebration- little birthday confetti on the table to greet us, and since I ordered a cocktail “dessert”, they brought a mini cup of whipped cream with a birthday candle in it! It was the sweetest thing and made my night! The staff is welcoming and our waitress was fantastic! Attentive and lovely to boot! Gave great recommendations and service! I will absolutely be back. Worth every penny. My experience was 10/10!

  We came early for our reservation and were promptly seated. Food was good as usual, although the calamari was mildly warm instead of hot this time around. What stood out was our fantastic waitress Maya! Quick to take our orders, glasses were never empty, very attentive and professional. We’ll be back.

  This restaurant is local us and it's a wonderful place to eat. It's extremely popular and as a result it's busy. It tends not to be one of those places that you decide to go to at the last minute. Making reservations are highly recommended. The food is top notch, and so are the wait staff. They're always friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to share of their favorites at the restaurant. There are a few things to mention, however. The first is parking. The amount of parking dedicated to the restaurant itself is pretty limited in overflow. Parking is shared with the lots that support The Paper Store and Barnes & Noble. You could find yourself having to park pretty far away from the restaurant. The other one is the level of ambient noise. When the restaurant is full it can get a bit loud and that can interfere with having a reasonable level of conversation. The layout of the restaurant helps reduce this type of noise overflow, but it can still happen regardless. These two observations are really a byproduct of the fact that the restaurant is so popular.

  Had a wonderful Father's Day dinner on Sunday. Our first time at J Gilbert's and we were very happy from start to finish. We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time even though they were quite busy. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, her recommendations were spot on, and she was very personable. She exceeded our expectations as diners. We ordered from both the Prix Fixe Father's Day menu as well as the regular menu. The food was delicious and served according to our preference. Definitely would return.
