  Very disappointed. Went in at 645, they were not busy. We ordered our food and got our shakes, took 15 minutes for the shakes to come out, we're still here waiting for our food 50 minutes later. We just asked for it to be placed for it to go. Mind you, when we walked in, it was not busy, maybe 8 people in here. There are 4 workers, none of them actually working. Standing around talking. I have photos of the staff in the back, while we are waiting over an hour for our food. Ended up getting a refund and left after waiting forever.

  This is the second time I have ordered a curbside order only to get there and the only spot allotted for that was taken by someone sitting inside the store. This time though no one is answering the phone. Calling for about 5 minutes as I have two sleeping kids in the car, hence the curbside order. Finally I go in, let the cashier (and “owner” who is cooking) know that I have an order and have been calling and someone dining inside is parked in the curbside spot. The “owner” says the phone systems are down, the staff seems unaware, and she says the curbside is more of a concept. No guarantees. As she has a plain sight view of this blue car parked in the spot and the customer eating their food at a table. She turns her back and is very un friendly. I have to ask for my cup for the soda the cashier just gave me a receipt for, who said coke as a beverage. I go to fill the coke, no syrup, other employee has a liter to fill it with after I tell them, since they are aware obviously but not interested in putting up signage. Or just filling it from the start… Food is cold, looks sad and they forgot to put onions on the burger.

  Burgers were good size and tasted good but it took 45min for our order to come out! Staff could be a little more welcoming as they did not even speak to us regarding why our food took so long either. Place was clean inside. It seems they use AI or something for their food pictures and shakes. I ordered a Dubai chocolate shake that looked and tasted like a regular chocolate shake. Not worth returning

  I used to come here frequently when I lived nearby. I always choose Wayback Burgers over the other restaurants in town while returning. I guess it was mainly because of the service & being remembered. Unfortunately, today I had a bad experience. I requested bourbon mustard on my burger (as I always have @ N/C the many times I came here the past, 2 years). Apparently, it is now $1. 😳. They are also now charging extra if you want a different type of cheese other than American. They even charge for ketchup.🙄 Without these extras, it costs over $20/person to eat here! And the burgers are paper thin. It seems like the shakes also got smaller? My first interaction was letting them know my onion rings were cold. The cashier’s response was “the food had been ready for a while” (blaming me). I was in line for a long time because they seem short staffed. When I inquired about the bourbon mustard, I was told “nothing was written down in my order” which wasn’t true. I did write it in the notes. (Now I’m a “lier.”) When I asked if I could have some, the store owner (whom I’ve had many friendly conversations with in the past) seemed to have forgotten me because she made a point to assertively tell me “I’m the owner and you have to pay $1 for the bourbon mustard on your burger because it’s very expensive.” They forgot the mayo as well. Terrible customer service, communication skills! I left over paying almost $25 (without any up charges) for a cold meal and basically being called a lier, blamed & not remembered. 😔

  Wanted to love it by the advertising... I never like to tear into a place for no reason because this is ultimately someone's investment. The person who greeted me (the owner) was nice. The burger I got was alright, but that may just be personal preference. Now the actionable piece of the review... The cleanliness of this restaurant is concerning, including the restroom. Not like short term, lunch rush just finished and haven't had time to tidy up. Like it isn't a top priority. I've always thought if what I as a customer can see looks like this, what about what I can't see? And greasy gloves shouldn't be worn to do everything from touch multiple surfaces, my hamburger, and then hand me my food. This is all fixable. Please be the place that cares in an ocean of places that don't.
